If you’re gonna break up Inner Circle, which I’m against personally, then the final nail in the coffin has to be Jericho and Hager absolutely massacring Sammy to cement the turn. And then they eventually both put over Sammy clean as a sheet.

Santana was absolutely the star of this segment. His look to the camera killed me. Jericho has to be turning heel here I just don’t know how you keep him face in this angle. He comes off as so insincere. He does feel, at least, like the de facto heel of this angle, whether he turns heel or not. He was the one who lashed out at Sammy, not Santana, despite Sammy preventing it from coming to blows. He was a condescending dick the whole segment, and it's just a heel move to call yourself "The Influencer", etc. I loved Santana's playing to the camera at the audacity of Jericho at the end of the segment, since Jericho couldn't even leave without getting in more condescending parting shots. Santana saying “it was the fans who kept us going, not you, Jericho” pretty much cemented them as faces to me.

Jericho telling Sammy to shut up was such an "Oh shit we're really on this road now" moment.

Segment felt long, like others have said. But it worked.

If Jericho turns heel, I do think he needs to change this theme music. Dude is in a band so I'm sure he has some options/can work with Mikey Rukus on one. But being a heel who has a song everyone sings to isn't great.

It’s ironic too considering what the song’s about.

Yeah like when he was suit Jericho in 2008-2009 and he kept Break the Walls Down.

I do think it'd be a funny heel move to pick a different Fozzy song to come out to.
Also, I've seen a number of people (largely elsewhere) take umbrage with Jericho comparing Santana to Eddie Guerrero as being a lazy comparison that any heated, passionate latino wrestler gets compared to Eddie, but I do think in Jericho's defense that it was at least an appropriate comparison to him in that in Jericho's own friendship with Eddie, well... like literally one of their first ever conversations had Eddie insulting him and cursing him out due to being drunk, and then being apologetic later when he sobered, that he'd lash out at people, usually when intoxicated, and either own up to it or not.
Now, story-wise, even if Jericho was right in pointing out PnP fell short in their own tag title match, I do also think Santana has plenty of legitimate reasons to be pissed off, that the MJF-Pinnacle saga was a huge distraction for their career, and the Top Team one maybe even moreso since that was Jericho's feud alone, basically. Hell, think of how the Moxley feud got them brutalized. They have plenty of legitimate reasons to feel pissed off at Jericho and that he'd sidelined their careers, since he did, like, objectively, even if their association with him put them near the top of the tag division from the word go.

The one thing I hope for from this feud is that Sammy actually like. Stays away. Don't involve him, don't bring him in. Have him walk and move on with his belt and have him be above this feud. Dude needs his own identity and he needs to just be far away from this so he can move on and not spend his whole reign carrying around dead weight into a feud that won't be about his belt.

Segment on Dynamite was pretty damn good, though on the whole I can't really claim to especially care about this angle besides just hoping they do indeed break up because it's run its course. But with Sammy's ultimatum I have to imagine they're going to end up reforming.

I think the weak link of all this remains Hager. Like, what the hell does he bring to the table? And if the faction all splits up, what the hell does he do in AEW?

I'm really curious if the Inner Circle's crumbling is culminated with Sammy losing the TNT Title to Darby, who then moves right into a feud for it with Andrade
Feels like Guevara being screwed out of his belt due to Inner Circle's continued drama would be a breaking point considering his whole talking point was he's trying to be the best champion and he doesn't know if IC will help or hurt that right now

Considering that for the last four-to-six months it only felt like they were a faction when it was convenient, it feels like they’ve needed to pull the trigger on breaking up for a while.
And considering it feels like they’ve gone as far as a group as they can go, if the dissolution of the group leads to a restart of the former LAX 2.0’s tag team prospects in AEW.
This storyline will be worth it.

Fuego, Griff and Alan would be a fun group and it doesn't mean Griff and Alan still wouldn't be with their groups either which is a nice thing AEW can do and has done, even Marko if and when he comes back if you want him away from Express. Can even get Conti more involved in some things

Been screaming for them to unleash PnP for months as imo they are way held back being in IC
This will be a clean break for everyone. Only one to probably be hurt the most is Sammy. Tho I think he eventually goes back heel

Tho I think he eventually goes back heel He might, though they might just have him hanging out with Fuego and Marko Stunt (if he's around, I know he's also exploring a music career). He may yet turn heel again, though I think he'll benefit from being his own guy and not Jericho's sidekick, a role he's outgrown for a while now. I do think it'd be fun if he defends the TNT title against Jericho sometime down the line as a "graduation" of sorts, but obviously not right now.

Him and Jericho having a proper feud would really help him out big time
