So recently, I went to an all-inclusive resort for the first time and it was fun, but there seemed to be a lack of variety in activities, especially nightlife. There would be like one show the resort put on each night and then the nightclub would open. I've been on several Carnival cruises and enjoy the variety of activities to do. At night you have a comedy club, piano bar, nightclub, random other music throughout the ship. Has anybody been to a resort that has the variety of things to do like a cruise would? Some of my friends with kids have commented that resorts are easier to do with kids, so I'm curious what else there is out there.

I wish I could tell you but I'm a morning person and I dislike crowds. My "nightlife" experience at a bunch of resorts is going to bed between 930 and 10 after a couple drinks at the martini bar.
