What are some Hall of Fame inductions you felt as were too immediate, even if they were out of someone’s control. For me:
Eddie: Yes I know they had to pretty much immediately induct him, but it felt too soon at the same time. I mean this guy won his first wwe title 2 years before the induction and was only dead for a few months. It was the right choice but damn it felt weird seeing him in that legends category because At the time I associated the HOF with people like Hogan, Piper ect who’s primes were in the 80s
Edge: this one I felt was actually too soon. Not just because he recently came out of retirement, but also because his star making moment was literally only 5 years prior and he was a hot main Eventer literally the day he retired
IMO Flair, HBK and Taker all felt genuine since they felt like legends before they retired

Edge had a hall of fame career well before he became a main event talent though.
The TLC Trio could have all gotten into the Hall of Fame on those matches alone.

Beth Phoenix. I believe she was even the youngest Hall of Famer at the time of her induction. It definitely had a “Shit, we need a woman to induct this year!” feel to it.

Steve Austin. Don't get me wrong, he earned it, but at the time of his induction, I wonder if it was too soon since it was at the end of the 2000s and his rise came only a decade prior.
Of course, this was at that time when I thought this, but I had thought differently since then.

Nah get them all in while you can. Who knows who'll drop dead in this business.
Obviously you could argue Eddie had only just died but for the rest, anytime whilst they are alive.

If The Rock goes in next year it will be surreal to think their inductions were 14 years apart considering how close together their peaks were.

On one hand, I get that, but on the other, it made sense in that for her tenure, she was basically presented as far and away their top woman, and still probably ranks as one of the most credibly-presented ones they've had to date. On that front, it makes total sense, even if it came early.

A lot of of the celebrity inductions feel that way, so I'm going with Snoop Dogg as my pick.
Especially when we're still waiting on Cyndi Lauper and Andy Kaufman.

I'm at the point now where I think the Hall of Fame is pretty much meaningless.
I know it's a nice gesture for some of these wrestlers but honestly the fact that they get paid to go in and read from scripts makes me think it's just another produced TV show.
It doesn't help that there's so many inductees now, to the point where basically anyone qualifies.
I mean, shit. The Bella Twins got in before The Undertaker and The Rock. Just think about that for a second.
Celebrities have also cheapened it.
In my eyes, it should be one inductee a year. And everyone gets up on stage and shares some stories and memories of them.
The only "true" Hall of Famers are the likes of Hogan, Flair, Savage, Warrior, Taker, Austin, Rock, Bret, etc.
With all due respect, Koko B Ware, Rikishi, The Godfather as memorable as they were have no business being in there.

I like this point, because if you break it down. There should be maybe 50-75 members in the WWE HOF if that's the case? Makes it definitely more prestigeous if that small.

Honestly, I don't think too many people cheapen a Hall of Fame so much as people not being inducted who should have been. WWE dragging their heels on Vader, maybe to not have a bunch of wrestlers lobby to get in, was a mistake.
Comparing it to a "real" one, the baseball hall of fame's treatment of Shoeless Joe Jackson does more to invalidate them than even any of the steroid shit.

Eddie even had a Classic Superstars figure (S7) right before he died, which felt a bit soon at the time until he passed and you realized how significant his career was.
We obviously had no idea Edge would have the big comeback he's on today, but they got Edge in right away. He had that really short hair and was just forced into retirement, and I think it felt a little soon for a lot of people since he was one of the earlier guys that got in where most fans saw their entire main career from start to finish.
I'm not going to bother acknowledging the sillier ones done for PR, marketing, or to sell the show itself. Some of those are far too soon or don't belong at all.
And I agree - not getting Vader in when he told you he was dying was the biggest load of bullshit. At least he got to take the stage for Stan Hansen's induction.

Back years ago I kept hearing that Pete Rose might get into the Baseball HOF. If he ever gets in then Shoeless Joe better get in. There is proof Rose bet on games,IIRC Pete admitted to it. There has never been any concrete proof that Jackson threw the World Series.
