Seems since the start of the February Saudi Shows, does anyone else feel this show is of greater importance than the Royal Rumble now?
All the legends seem to come out for this show, plus the road to Wrestlemania is determined here now, instead of at the Rumble or on WWE TV leading up to Mania.
The matches seem bigger here too than the Rumble and the Rumble winner does not matter as we saw with Brock winning the Rumble, yet getting a title match at the February show and winning the title. Kind of down plays the story line of winner getting a title match at Mania, when they already won a title the show before Mania.

Not really. They can try to treat them as more important but at the end of the day, WWE is mainly an American company and you're never going to have a show on in the morning for most Americans in an entirely different country matter more than a show with a strong tradition that has drawn 35K+ paying fans every year.

Not even close. People anticipate the Royal Rumble all year. The second it finishes people are already fantasy booking or talking about who they want to win the next one.
No one really cares or talks about the February PPV until a couple weeks before when the build starts on TV.

I mean the Saudi show was better than the Rumble this year but wasn’t exactly a high bar. The Rumble is always highly anticipated can’t stay the same for the Saudi shows.

Not for me, I still have the network for the other PPV's and old shows but I haven't watched a Saundi event since the greatest royal rumble (I love rumbles and weakened on the day against my better judgement). If they offered money off the monthly sub for no Saudi shows...I'd be all over it in a heartbeat

not really, besides what everyone else said the saudi matches tend to be extremely predictable while the rumble is usually good for a surprise or two.

Most people I know that have been big fans for a long time and used to LOVE the Royal Rumble don’t seem to pay it much mind anymore. It doesn’t have that shine and importance it used to. It used to be THE show and match where you walked away with a title shot at the biggest show of them all. If you won that match you were a made man. Between multiple titles, MITB being a thing, winners not getting ME shots, ME’s being booked a year in advance ruining some of the mystery and fun….the Saudi show is at least almost on equal footing.
