This kind of overexposure of the son of a legendary wrestler is reminding me way too much of David Flair, like WAY too much Dominick is a dude who should have spent like 2-3 Years in NXT, and should frankly still be there, and that should have gotten Rey down in NXT too on occasion to pop crowds and such, and have Rey work with the rookies and at the time top upcoming talent down there But no, he got rushed to the main and now it's really starting to show because he's not improving, he's regressing. And Rey refuses to feud with him apparently so they can't even DO the turn. I know one of the deals to keep Rey signed was to push his son and make him a superstar... but it's becoming beyond not worth it. Dom is worlds better than David Flair. He’s a good hand in the ring at least. He just has awful presence as far as intimidation goes, he needs an edge, maybe a heel turn against Rey.

One of my biggest hindsight gripes with 2020 WWE was not immediately sending Dom to NXT after Summerslam, he looked good there and showed a lot of promise, but the year and a half or so of main roster same old same old has exposed him badly and not given him any room to grow.

He needs to hit the weights and get a clue.
In all seriousness, I do think he has potential but let's be honest, he's nowhere near main roster ready. This is the same company that never called up Adam Cole.

I never said Dominick didn't have more upside, the overexposure was my comparison.

Dominick is a better worker but David actually had something resembling charisma and in a world where there's literally hundreds of good workers, you'd rather someone be different and get a reaction at this stage. Dom just doesn't stand out in any way.

We'll have to have Dom try to dance with the Nitro girls for a fair comparison.

So who looks like the older wrestler…current day Dom or unmasked 12 year old WCW Rey?

Dom just doesn't stand out in any way. Incorrect. "This guy's is not a wrestler and should not be taking up a main roster spot" is the very definition of standing out.

You'd think the Kayfabe son of Eddie Guerrero would have at least a basic idea of how to talk. To be fair he was raised by Rey Mysterio Jr, so any native mic skill he could have had was squashed years ago.

It's kind of funny that we all just kinda shat on Brock Anderson when he was debuted (probably fairly since he absolutely shouldn't have been debuting on Dynamite) but most people have turned around and come to the conclusion that he has solid fundamentals but needs a personality.

Dominik looks like a kid playing dress-up pro wrestler. He's also 24 years old. It looks even worse when you have Austin Theory, a dude the same age but light years ahead in terms of pretty much everything, on the same brand.
Dominik really needs a further spell in developmental.

I like Dominik and think he has potential,I truly believe a heel turn would light a fire in him and he would do great in that role, his dad is a natural forever babyface while his son is a dastardly badass heel would work much better

I have to ask, was Dom trained at the PC or was he rushed up? Because one way is a damning representation of developmental and the other is basically me wondering why he wasn’t in developmental.

Never really trained at the PC, near as I can tell. Jay Lethal and his dad started training him in 2018 and that's the extent of it. I don't know if that's WWE thinking "Oh yeah rush him f*** it who cares" or Rey going "No I want him on the main roster with me and teaming with me" but either way it's not a very good outcome to any of this. It's sorta damning him from the start of his career one way or another.

It’s weird watching Dom, cos Rey was getting him trained everywhere before he got to WWE. He had him train with Konnan, Lance Storm, he wanted Dominick trained in every style of wrestling. But that hasn’t really helped him build a character.
The kid has something though.
