Was on at 4pm on West Coast and not many people knew about the time change. That's not bad all things considered

I'm not surprised by the viewership drop since time changes are always going to result in a bunch of people forgetting or choosing not to watch. If anything I'm surprised demo went up from its usual timeslot.

Well I guess that'll leave it at 10PM lol
Thought the viewership might rise but it was a sudden change and 7PM is a weird time itself so... at leas the demo was higher I suppose? Probably a big reason fast nationals didn't leak.

Ideally, they'd put it on 8 or 9, but that's directly against Smackdown. So that's not happening anytime soon.
Most of the numbers are pretty similar across the demo breakdown. The major difference is 50+ (.16 this week vs. .24 last week). I guess older folks are less likely to watch wrestling around that time than later on at 10 PM.

I'm not surprised it's down, considering how quiet the live thread on here was and the number of people who came crashing in saying they'd forgotten about the time change, lol

The scary situation is if they only lost 80K from the time change based on last week's numbers then they really need to rethink how they provide their content to the US West Coast. Lets say 85% of those that didn't watch were west coast viewers who would have had to watch it at work...That's a seemingly low number of regular viewers for a hot property. Hopefully they open up their touring schedule that way more often this year.

It's really hard to gauge that though, like... in terms of who is watching when and who isn't and why, don't really know if West Coast factored in as much as the time change being sudden. We know West Cost effected Dynamite over the course of a few weeks before regulating, but Rampage to me is a show they heavily factor DVR and later stage watching with. Even then, the show's just doing well for what it is. Maybe it just does better at 10PM. The Saturday Rampage did best I think recently, the Christmas one, did like almost 700K I think at a more reasonable time. If they ever moved Rampage's day and timeslot, Saturday would make a lot of sense to me, but TNT is happy with it where it is, which is a win for them.

I don't have the quarters with me but Thurston reported the pattern was different this week as you would expect - viewership grew throughout the show. It's honestly not a fair experiment to see if 7 PM would be better. You would need to make it a regular timeslot and probably have it air at 7 across the country. But given everything, it's a solid number.

This is true, given RAW and NXT bounced back after that first messy week on SyFy, yeah that's a different channel, but it's still the same type of principal where sometimes viewers dont remember. A few FAN posters even said they forgot Rampage was at seven and didnt see it live.

Yeah, this isn't really a pattern or anything to analyze. It's ultimately an irrelevant blip on the radar because of the special circumstances not repeating themselves anytime soon. Like it's interesting to look at the numbers, but it really doesn't have any value beyond curiosity.
Like the West Coast thing was definitely a factor in lower Dynamite ratings when it was live there because it became an established pattern for the time between the NHL season starting and the move to TBS. Here? I don't think the West Coast really factored here outside of speculation. Especially since all the demos besides 50+ were mostly steady. Around ~80k of the viewership drop was from that 50+ demo alone.
Ultimately it's like judging the numbers of FS1's Smackdown as if they were airing on Fox. Yeah, there's going to be a big drop, but it doesn't really matter in the grand scheme of things.
