Which one would it be to you? Legacy Smoke and Mirrors Mask Rhodes brothers Stardust Which version was he at his best? You didn't list Dashing, or "With a Mustache!", or the Post Undashing where he was just kind've a shithead >_>

What I didn't like about Dashing/Undashing/Postundashing... was it felt REALLY rushed. Like Cody went through about a full career worth of gimmicks in a matter of months... I don't even think Dashing Cody even lasted a full year... this would probably be my answer for his WWE run.

Loved all of them, but Dr Doom Cody was the best

Undashing Cody Rhodes was probably the most I ever enjoyed a Cody gimmick

Dashing Cody Rhodes was really good
But Undashing Cody Rhodes is probably Cody best gimmick of all time (not necessarily saying thats his best work or period, but the gimmick was amazing)
I remember I really didnt care about Cody, he was the generic guy that hanged around Orton. Then suddenly he starts going off about how he won an online poll for most handsome and just starts firing of all cylinders.

Grotesque was easily the most sustained, but I've always had a soft spot for that one weird hot streak where WWE forgot to write him off TV to get married, so he got this crazy impassioned moment where he was fired and cut the best promo WWE had seen in years.

Undashing probably wins it for me just because of his slow, contemptuous droning that he is providing paper bags for all of the ugly audience members to wear "AT GREAT PERSONAL EXPENSE." Really selling the idea that he is so angered by ugliness that he will pay a good deal of money to avoid it, and he thinks he should be celebrated for that.
I dunno if I even remember the "AT GREAT PERSONAL EXPENSE" line correctly, feels like it could have been a meme if I were getting the line right.

Bingo. Dude went from CAWdy in Legacy to a guy that could have easily been a World Champion during this time.

He had some really good gimmicks in WWE. I loved his indashing gimmick the most. After he took off the mask and was IC champ he was great but not as good character wise.

Grotesque Cody is my favourite but Dashing was also a lot of fun.

White Gear Cody.
Sorry, I just didn't like the voice he used when he was Masked Cody.
Mustache Cody takes 2nd.

Undashing Cody Rhodes was incredible. He felt like a Batman villain.

I'm not saying it's the best, but I love when he was Stardust, gave Barrett a fancy cape, and had the Ascension as lackeys, for like 5 seconds, it feels like.
I just remember them shooting a promo that made them look like Power Rangers villains in the best way. Shame it went nowhere.

It's between Grostesque Cody Rhodes and Unmasked (All white gear) Cody Rhodes.
Sure I didn't like how he spoke with the mask on, but the man bought back the classic IC title. That's reason enough.

When he teamed with Dustin & beat the Shield for the tag titles. Felt like a really big moment, full of emotion. This is one of my favourite feuds and matches ever and I would only really call myself a fan of one guy in the match. Outside of this angle I legit think Cody's best, most coherent and consistent work was as Stardust

Character wise I think Dashing was his best fit, match wise I think he had his best matches during his Disfigured run.

I liked Dashing Cody the best. Fun character and a great entrance song. It's too bad it was so short lived though. I think it only lasted maybe like five or six months before they did the angle with Rey where he got his face smashed which led to disfigured Cody.

In terms of EVERYTHING lining up for him, his in-ring, his promos, the fans being behind him, even some good booking early on... I'm going with post-moustache, pre-Stardust babyface Cody Rhodes, where he was teaming up with Goldust and feuding with The Shield in some absolute banger matches. That was the kind of babyface run that could've easily led to a world title match, or even a run with it if it wasn't at the exact same time that Daniel Bryan was going supernova himself.

Babyface Cody was good. Even though the Goldust team was great I thought it went on too long and kind of held back Cody back in that I think he could've maybe been high level singles guy. Before they put him with Goldust it was the only I thought he could've been a main eventer. The crowds were really getting behind him with his MITB performance which led to him turning face, the Sandow feud, and then the angle where he was "fired" by the Authority.
