The greatest roster in pro wrestling today (IMO) just got even better. I’m very happy about this signing.

I could totally see Strickland picking up what Lio Rush put down, ironically both in AEW and NJoA. Great acquisition no matter where he lands.

We need Chaka, Tony. probably the thinking was that it would be easier to get rid of them all instead of keeping one/two (when they should have just got rid of Top Dolla)

Great signing. I was a big fan of Swerve, I just hated Hit Row and the rest of the group.
I don't think AEW is signing too many people for several reasons
- plenty of cover for injuries and timeoff
- the roster doesn't hurt if someone leaves
- Rampage will eventually go 2 hours. That's 4 hours more content since dark and elevation will go 2 hours each as well
- International expansion. AEW will eventually go international, UK and Canada will be a priority first but I can see them expanding throughout Europe, Asia, Australia and Mexico, doing house shows in all of them to get their name out internationally. They'll need a big roster

I know people have concerns about AEW's roster size, but Swerve, like Keith Lee, was not a talent you pass on. Swerve's stock is only gonna keep rising, this dude is money and it's astounding yet unsurprising that WWE passed on him.
He will work anywhere and into any plans they have. I assume he's gonna be put in the ladder match, he's absolutely worth as a crossover star too, he like Starks just has an IT factor, very happy he's here

He's a no brainer signing and someone you can push real far. That Warner and AEW already see him as a crossover star is already promising.

It's time to expand Rampage to 2 hours.... If you are an established wrestlers though AEW is great, you can work once a week..probably get atleast a handful of shows off a month and really extend your career, nothing taxing about that schedule at all. If they can get down the rotation and build up enough performers where they don't all have to be on every week, it's a great situation to be in. 100% agree never seen this man wrestle, I'll await his debut

It will catch up eventually but a big thing for AEW is they allow wrestlers to take outside bookings so that likely offsets some issues. Yeah, for sure. I do wonder if that frustrates some wrestlers, but it definitely helps offset things. I'm sure there are. Especially for people signed earlier in AEW's existence. I think the question becomes if Tony and his crew.are being upfront with the talent they have.... and I'm sure there will be differing opinions for both.

The only way that's possible imo is if they start filming it live every week, and not doing so helps remove a lot of travel expenses just taping it after most Dynamites. I would sooner advocate for a third one hour show, than I would messing with Rampage. Give TBS their own exclusive one hour program or something. Film one live, tape the other and air it another day, but you'd be able to sell fans to come to the show like how live Rampage's have like two hour DARKs attached to them

Yeah, if someone with the upside of Swerve becomes available, it doesn't matter how full your roster is - you sign them.
I would love to see AEW implement a formal roster rotation though. Wrestling doesn't have an off-season, but wrestlers absolutely should. Give everyone 2-3 months per year off the TV to freshen up the rosters and let them rest their bodies. They can see to getting little injuries sorted before they become big ones, or even work on improving their in-ring skills without the added stress of traveling and having to perform in front of an audience.

In some cases I do think some wrestlers do indeed rotate in and out and keep reps on DARK. Some need to get IN the rotation more, that's another discussion, but they're definitely content letting peeps like Omega and Miro heal up, and you don't inherently miss them because of how deep the roster actually is.

I think the best thing they could do is just take Dark Elevation, maybe cut a few matches and air that on TBS and then put some of the other matches from Elevation on DARK. Not sure where they could add an extra taping day otherwise.

The thing with Rampage is that at its current day and time, making it two hours is unfeasible. 10PM-12AM is going to suck for a regular program and you can't make it earlier without going directly against Smackdown. If they ever made it two hours, they'd have to move it to another night.
And personally speaking, I love the pacing of the one hour show and would rather just see another hour show instead of making Rampage two hours.

Can't have it on Monday and Wednesday, Tuesday would make everyone involved with NXT cry, Thursday is mostly Impact, Saturday is reserved for the specials and Sunday is PPV day so nothing really makes sense.

And considering how important the NBA is to TNT (and TBS in some cases), you'd have to pry that slot from their cold, dead hands. And I say that with no hyperbole.

To be fair does anyone watch Impact? I literally have no ability to watch that show.
