Maybe we'll get some segments/vignettes next week instead. Give a one week break between the rounds before they pick up with the semi-finals like they did with the Men's Dusty Cup. As for Dakota/Wendy, I really am loving the dynamic between the two. Remember Dakota's little nihilistic rants a month or so ago. "Nothing divides friendships/partnerships more.....than success". And now you see in this video, Dakota freaking out about her and Wendy advancing in the tournament and possibly winning the Dusty Cup. Like she wants this thing with Wendy to work, but in her warped mind, she's afraid that if they continue to garner success, she'll just be tempting fate and it's going to end the same way as her previous friendships. I'm hoping for some Wendy/Dakota training session videos in that case. Just no Alexa Bliss doctor visit. I can't blame Dakota for freaking out...considering that too she now has to face an arch-rival she's not been able to defeat. On top of the battle in her mind about friendship and success. Looking at it from the grey area, I personally think Dakota's take on Raquel last summer has truth to it. But in the present no matter how one looks at the past, Dakota holding it inside is now a mountain she has to climb to begin to find some peace with herself and clear her head. I think that is the story. Whether it's victory or defeat that brings her to be able to head in the direction of moving on and forward remains to be seen. There may be some hurdles, but I feel this storyline will have a happy ending. It's endearing and a bit more grounded in reality on a show now a bit out there. Sleep. Wendybomb. Coup-de-Kai. Repeat. |

All of the over the top characters, bad acting and yet still mainly solid ring action is why I love this version of NXT.

All of the over the top characters, bad acting and yet still mainly solid ring action is why I love this version of NXT. More soap opera please! Mandy's acting when KLR kidnapped Gigi and Jacy still cracks me up. "What? No, no, NO!!!" "GIGI!!!" "Oh my god, she's crazy." |

And body count of 3 or less would eliminate Tony D and Dexter (if him and Indi ever divorce), Oh she means that kind of body count. Well I'm sure Tony has found extra time between stuffing people in trunks and making them sleep with the fishes. |

Delivered in the most calmest way possible as she's being stalked by a psychotic woman with a baseball who has just kidnapped and possibly murdered her two friends. Or how about Gigi and Jacy then just showing up the next week without any explanation like nothing happened despite being kidnapped and presumably murdered the week before. |

It’s funny because you can make a case for 3 of these teams winning the Dusty Cup. Raquel & Cora because of all the buildup and vignettes they received. Io & Kay Lee Ray because they have a built-in feud with Toxic Attraction already. Dakota & Wendy Choo with this oddball tag team where Wendy is getting more excited the closer they get to winning the Dusty Cup, in contrast to Dakota, who is increasingly getting more agitated and afraid. |
