On a lighter note, does anyone remember one of the G1 Transformers sets, possibly the Rhino ones, where they had Botcon footage, one scene of which involved this guy...I forget what, doing TF imitations, reading lines...then ending randomly with a Razor Ramon impression?

My original name here 20 years ago was Scott Hall's Drunken Driver...I changed it a few years back to SHDD as I got older and he got healthier...It was never intended to be an insult to Scott as I have faught my demons with alcohol myself and always felt like I related to him...With that said he was one of my favorites growing up and I am so sad to see him go but am so very grateful I got to see everything he gave to us as well as him get clean with DDP.

Although it seems like a formality. Until it's official be wary of people trying to beat everyone else to the punch with 'R.I.P Scott Hall articles'

If there was ever a time for the "Tell Me a Lie" song, it's this. I've been refreshing this page since yesterday morning checking for updates. The ultimate one will come but of course I'm hoping it doesn't. There's so much to say and yet it so much really can't be said. He's touched our lives and he's lived so many lives himself and it surely does suck it's come to this but we should be grateful for the last 8 years especially.
This thread has brought us together as a group even if we are hurting. This situation IS bad but there is so much good that's come out of the last 8 years of him living and I only hope we can take those lessons of his addiction recovery and if those we know are suffering, use the very real recovery he has had to help others in need.

As shitty as this is, Scott Hall will be forever remembered in wrestling, very few will ever accomplish what he did.

I saw one pop up on Facebook. Pretty sure it was Barstool. I'd expect no less.

Although it seems like a formality. Until it's official be wary of people trying to beat everyone else to the punch with 'R.I.P Scott Hall articles' I've witnessed massive flamewars on some wikipedia pages with people fighting over who was the first/correct edit to a deceased celebrity. I'll never understand that "FIRST" mentality when it comes to shit like this.

Some people are just desperate to make some sort of claim for themselves, even if the vast majority of people either won’t care or will view them in a negative light for it.

As shitty as this is, Scott Hall will be forever remembered in wrestling, very few will ever accomplish what he did. Even if he never made the jump to WCW and made a name for himself there in one of the most famous factions in wrestling history, he was pretty much guaranteed to have had a Hall of Fame career in the WWF. He’ll go down in history as one of the greatest to never win the World title, although he was pretty much all but guaranteed to have gotten a run had he stayed. He’s also synonymous with having one of the greatest Ladder matches of all time with Shawn.

Joe Neglia or mods. Can we get this thread pinned at the top of the section. I think it's far more important than any other wrestling talk in the forum at the moment.

He's in that rarified air of "top guys who never needed to be world champ to be a top guy", like Piper.

I hope there's a miracle in the wings that shows itself in the 11th hour, but I know that's not likely.
I really feel for Scott's family.

This bums me out. Scott Hall is like my bookmark in my off wrestling period of my life. Razor was the last wrestler I liked around 93ish before I mostly stopped watching wrestling (back when I was in 10th grade) and he was one of the first guys I noticed when I started watching WCW again in 97 or so.

By the time I started watching wrestling in 1990 the Rock n Wrestling Era was ending and my dad was losing interest in wrestling, but holy mother of god did he get a kick out of Razor Ramon when he came in. He was his favourite wrestler for years, he was one of the few guys dad would come watch on Saturday TV. We were lucky enough to see him at a Wrestling Challenge in 1992, very early in his WWF run. Such a great memory.
The more this sinks in, the more it hurts. This is a big one for me, it’s up there with Macho Man and Piper.
