So I’m watching wcw 96 on the network and Eddie is a white meat babyface but he’s over AF with the crowd and it looks like he’s getting a decent push on wcw. Now obviously it’s nothing compared to what he got in wwf but he still got decent screen time and I’m sure he was more entertaining in 97 when he turned heel

He definitely became more entertaining as a heel in 1997, starting with feuds with Malenko and later in the year against Rey Mysterio.

I remember after he turned heel how Tony and the Brain kept talking about how they couldn't believe such a good kid like Eddy would do stuff like that, and Mike Tenay kept telling them "if you'd kept up with his career in Mexico you wouldn't be surprised by this at all."

I couldn't stand Eddie as a bad guy in WCW. I watched WCW a lot in 97 and it seemed like all I remember him doing to showcase himself as a bad guy was curl his lip a little, sport a different hairstyle and get closer to the camera and try to act like a bad guy and he had a different theme. That's all I remember. I do feel like he was a guy more comfortable playing the "bad guy" though once he hate WWE and things were going worse in his life he was able to embrace the bad guy character.

It was comical. He was a natural babyface. When he turned heel, he looked silly af. I remember my whole family laughing at his ring entrances. Still loved him because he never ceased to be entertaining, just he went from believable babyface to looking like some little kid trying to look like a hard ass.

When he got a bit older in WWF it seemed more natural being the bad guy. The difference in attitude and appearance as the little kid looking good guy to wanna be bad guy in WCW made it seem like Scott Steiner to Big Poppa Pump he looked so different.

I preferred heel Eddie, he was effortless in making people hate him. And his music was badass.
I just remember face Eddie basically always saying "I'm so happy to be here!"
