Which “Cheers” actor has had the most success post sitcom?

Left the pole list at those three, cause in my opinion they have had the most notable roles since Cheers ended.

Danson had some long running and popular TV roles… and some movie roles. Notable roles: Becker, CSI, The Good Place.

Harrelson has a successful movie acting career which includes three Academy Award nominations. Notable Roles: People vs Larry Flynt, Zombieland, Three Billboards Outside Ebbing Missouri.

Grammer…. Played the title character in one of the most well regarded sitcoms of all time (even though it was a Cheers spin off) .. did some other TV, the voice of Sideshow Bob… and a few movie roles. Notable Roles: Frasier, X-Men 3, Trollhunters.


Note: Danson needs to play a Marvel comic character to catch up to the other two

Other… yes the rest of the cast have done some things… John Ratzenberger and his Pixar roles, Kirstie Alley had Look Whose Talking trilogy and Veronica’s Closet, Shelley Long had those 90’s Brady Bunch films, but mostly as talented as they are… went on to character actor status. BTW limited to actors that got a opening credits listing..

Woody has been nominated for academy awards, dude wins this. Still funny that if they wanted Woody and John Ratzenberger could reunite in a Star Wars thing at somepoint as John still looks about the same as he did in Empire Strikes Back and it wasnt a huge role anyway.

Harrelson became a legit big movie star, though Danson had a lot of success on TV (especially on CSI and The Good Place) and Kelsey Grammer's run on Frasier and The Simpsons was great, too, on top of being a great theatrical actor.

None of them has exactly been a slouch.

Hell, there's probably more people now that would recognize Woody from the Hunger Games movies than those who would recognize him from from Cheers.
