I know pillars are day one people, but had Shane chosen AEW, he would be on the Sammy and Darby level. I am beyond excited to see his matches with them, and he's going to be a star on every level. Keith Lee and Danhausen were two of my favorite in the world, but Swerve is the signing I'm most excited about because he is the future.

"Whose house is it?" "SWERVE'S HOUSE" "I love you too."

Man was absolutely covered in charisma tonight. Very exciting to see how he develops on the roster.
As for being the lost-pillar thing..? That’s a lot to live up to honestly. And not a bad claim to fame.

I have always liked him. Killshot was a bit of a sleeper hit for me in Lucha Underground.

I like that he's combining his previous two ring names as Swerve Strickland. Dude's gonna be a star.

Yeah he would have been. He's part of the "New Era Pillars" as I'm going to call em and that's him, Keith Lee and 2 others.

I have always liked him. Killshot was a bit of a sleeper hit for me in Lucha Underground. People wanted him pushed to the top then. From what I saw of him in NXT, same situation there. He’s someone that the crowd gets behind and wants pushed. Sky’s the limit in AEW.

Choosing Orlando as his debut was a good idea, too. Wouldn't be surprised if quite a few Black & Gold regulars were in the crowd tonight, giving him an even bigger reaction.

He’s someone that the crowd gets behind and wants pushed. Sky’s the limit in AEW. Definitely. And obviously, given one of AEW's biggest stated problems for a while was a lack of black singles wrestlers, he and Keith Lee, who would already be great acquisitions, make that much more sense as hires.

It's Swerve's house now. It might take a hot minute to get up the card, but he could very well be TNT Champion in 2022.

Swerve is money. Swerve is the hugest money. They've got to make room for this guy on the card. No lost in the shuffle, no f***ing off after a filler TNT title loss, give this man the world and he will deliver.

Tbh the pillars concept is a joke. Sammy G is never gonna be on the level of MJF or Darby. Jungleboy is over enough to get there but it's definitely not going to be quick. Darby and Sammy are closer to Adam Page in age than they are to MJF and Jungleboy. It's something that maybe made sense when people first started thinking of these guys as a cohort but as we get further into the deep waters in AEW it seems more and more forced

LMAO I love how AEW has people nuking their accounts for silly shit like the pillar nickname like dude reflect on your life ANYWAYS Shane would have absolutely been a pillar of AEW had he been there from the start but the sky is the limit for him now so please continue on with that discussion

LMAO I love how AEW has people nuking their accounts for silly shit like the pillar nickname like jesus dude reflect on your life You know, I simply don't think that I'm going to be nuking my account. That doesn't really seem to be based in reality as my account is plainly still here and not going to be banned for one marginally rude comment. Certainly, at any rate, 'AEW' wouldn't have me doing it, although that's an interesting insight into the tendency of people in this section to conflate any contrary opinion with a seething hatred of the entire show. I simply don't think the Four Pillars-rip works and I expect that to be exposed when people like Strickland eclipse some of them.
