Let me get this straight, multiple chain wrapped fists to the face only cause bleeding, but one punch with a ring lays a guy out for the count?
Makes sense.
Any similar examples you can think of? Does not have to apply to Maxwell.

One punch didn't lay him out.
One punch finished him off.

One punch didn't lay him out. One punch finished him off. Yeah, the punch was more insult to injury. Dude had just eaten a GTS into thumbtacks, he was already dead to rights

Not just in this match (I agree it was just the finishing touch here). I can believe it cutting people open, but not necessarily as a KO shot, unless he gimmicked it with lead. EDIT: Forgot how heavy a ring could actually me. See my follow up post in response to cjb01. My stance has changed.

It's a giant ring with Diamond Jewels in it... I'm pretty sure a solid right with that on someone's finger, let alone a trained athlete, is gonna drop someone just like the other mentioned items. It's even been billed as a heavy ring.

I think the point is the ring is brought out at a point when the match has gone on for a bit, they've been doing a ton to each other, and a shot to the face with the heavy ring is the straw that breaks the camel's back. Like I don't think a ring shot at the beginning of a match ends it.

I must admit the shot being the final nail did not occur to me.
Probably all the Red Bull I drink.

Yeah, like if instead of the ring MJF had screwed over multiple people by kicking them in the dick and hitting a small package I’m sure that would’ve been the finish to the match. Or at least that’s how I interpreted the finish

Also, even without a ring a pro wrestler just straight up decking someone as hard as they can is a believable ko shot anyway.
