They have to time it right on one of its "IT'S BEEN GOING ON SO LONG THAT THIS IS HILARIOUS" ups rather than one of its "this has been going on so long it's not really funny or interesting anymore" downs which is a tricky thing to time.

I think it depends a lot on who you debut him in front of and how. If you Brodus Clay it it could work, if he's just out there squashing Cedric or something who cares.

This reminds me of when some folks thought Eva Marie would be a giant heat magnet when she returned and she got almost no reaction out of the gate. We all find this funny but the dude is wrestling on Main Event every week and getting tepid reactions at best.

He should come out and have a Lesnar type debut.
If it's just a random squash match, it won't be as hype.

I feel like he would have gotten a Pop if he had debuted like... three months ago. That's when this was kind of at its most memeable fever pitch
But now it's SIX MONTHS later and I think at this point they've really missed their boat, it's like they saw what waiting to debut HOOK did for him and... didn't realize a single bit why and how it worked.

If you have him come out to shut up an obnoxious heel or something, then it could get some reaction, but it's probably not going to be anything special. So, not terribly different from a lot of the roster.
