The reddit insider is still saying the match is on for Mania (Rollins vs. Rhodes) and the road started tonight. He did say in the post earlier today that the visionary is all smoke and mirrors “after tonight.”

To believe Cody hasn't agreed a deal with the WWE is to believe that Vince McMahon is so convinced by Cody's star power that he would book weeks worth of TV around him anyway. That just doesn't feel likely to me.

they have basically been dancing around the rumor pretty damned openly on Raw.

I don't see that getting okayed if it wasn't a done deal.

People are going to buy Mania (or watch it on Peacock) anyway, so maybe they feel they don't have to rush this. Maybe for once they feel less is more and are okay with a two week build or him not even showing up until one of the nights of the show.

Yeah, like, by all accounts, they want to get people talking about the possibility so it'd be weird if it wasn't happening to make those references.

The alternative is that he hasn't signed and WWE were just making Cody references for no good reason and it'd just make them look like goobers.
