Not only is it a real Wrestlemania, but Orton/Edge is actually still going on. Damn it, you beat me to the joke while I was double-checking the actual length of the match.

Yes, and circumstances aside, it kicked ass.

Yes. It was extremely unique and was actually very enjoyable. It gave us two incredible moments/matches that we wouldn’t have gotten if there was no pandemic in the Boneyard Match and the Firefly Funhouse match. And Rhea/Charlotte, the 3-way ladder match and KO/Seth were top notch.

It does feel funny how so little of it matters now. Strowman's gone, Drew's sort of in limbo, Kevin and Seth are partners, Brock's champ again anyway. But yeah, still would count it as such.

It has to be cool to work at the Performance Center knowing that a frickin' WRESTLEMANIA took place there.

If nothing else I don't know how you could possibly downplay the brilliant build Bobby Lashley vs. Aleister Black had.

You expect me to just forget the strange sensuality of Charlotte and Rhea grunting and yelling loudly for 15 minutes? Kick rocks!

Yeah, it counts. It's a unique show and I don't think you can fairly rank it among other Mania's, but it counts as a Mania.

What's weird is you watch the 2020 Royal Rumble which is in a huge full stadium.
Fast forward a few months later and we are in an empty training centre for Wrestlemania.
If only we knew what was coming.

Like a lot of modern WWE, it had its flaws, but the good outweighed the bad, especially given the situation in the world at the time. It was the start of the 2-day model, which made it way more digestible. 35 could’ve been great if it did this, but the length of that one got to me.

It was weird as all hell and I'm not sure I'd ever rewatch it - but in the circumstances it was a fantastic event. It was great to have something to enjoy.

If only we knew what was coming. The weird thing is that a few weeks before the whole COVID thing really took off, they had a show in the Training Center, with fans. It's almost as if they knew they would have to put shows there soon.

It's almost as if they knew they would have to put shows there soon. The NXT episode from the Performance Center was actually the final WWE show before the empty arena shows. The NBA suspended the season during that NXT episode no less. Which means that the final paid-fan show of 2020 and the first ever empty arena show took place in the same building two days apart.

Absolutely. It was comfort at a very strange and quite frankly, terrifying, time. All its shortcomings didn't seem as bad cause there was this sense of 'we're doing our best here guys, for everyone'
