In the mid 2000’s Tiger Electronics known for cheap handheld games released a video media player with it’s own sort of disc format (PVD).. marketed at kids… will let Techmoan take you through it.

I actually remember seeing these in stores back in the day, seemed like a terrible idea like the Game Boy Advance video carts.
Honestly, nobody got portable movies right until PSP. That thing truly was a revolutionary piece of tech.
