Now that his career is over who are stars you want to see him face but more than likely never will. Whether he’s faced them before but now through the years they’ve evolved into bigger stars
Cody Rhodes AJ Styles Drew McIntyre CM Punk

I will probably be the only person to say this, but from a pure interest standpoint I wanted to see him wrestle Jay White. The match would either be f***ing turgid or really, really unique with no in between.

I thought Adam Cole would be the one to retire HHH.

Nobody.
Not sure how much there was to be gained going up against Trips, considering his "BIGGEST BADASS EVVURRR-AH!" style usually ate the other guy he was in the ring with in the latter half of his career.

Not now but a few years ago I thought it would have been fitting if his final match was in NXT against one of the long-term guys there like Ciampa/Gargano/Cole.

Serious answers: Adam Cole, Ciampa, Gargano, Bron Breakker, Keith Lee.

I've been saying it for like 10 years on here by this point but Triple H vs Minoru Suzuki is my #1 dream match, period.

The most obvious one, of course, is Cody Rhodes (not only as his post-AEW version, but even in 2013 during the Authority angle).

Cody worked quite a bit with Trips in 2009, both singles and tags, so at least they had some sort of rivalry going. That definitely would've been an interesting one with Cody's throne smashing shenanigans post-WWE. AJ Styles is definitely a big one that we'll sadly not get now. I'm not as up on talent right now, but I know Bron would've been cool as a rookie vs vet sort of match, so I pick that one. Maybe Kevin Owens 1-on-1? There's a story there with HHH helping Owens gain the Universal title several years ago that they could've built off of.

I'd like to see how he and Omega would go.

I wish he had one more big match with The Rock, their last match was on a random Raw in 2002 and ended in a no-contest.
