Given that I'm not a WWE watcher it's tough for me to say what constitutes things "feeling" like Wrestlemania season, but I can say that it feels off not getting much buzz about the shows that'll be going on around WM weekend, which is what I typically look forward to. Some of that is still thanks to the travel situation the world has; back in 2019 when the whole circus was around here I got to see STARDOM and NJPW on the same weekend, and that's just not doable this year with how touch and go restrictions were at the start of the year.
That's something that gets me about the two-night Mania thing; I'm curious how much it eats into what's becomes such a big time of year for the indie and alternative scene.
As for Mania itself, if things are still like they've been over the last couple of decades I presume that WWE's lack of overall storytelling plays a big role. You get matches with talented people in them, but little indication that they mean anything in the grand scheme, which has probably only gotten worse in the "content for the content gods" era of WWE production. Doesn't help that a lot of those potential matches get re-run on free TV a lot and WWE doesn't really invest in the psychology of using previous matches to build the stories of rematches, so you get some bouts with talented people that are perfectly fine in a vacuum, but don't give you much to sink your teeth into.
