They better put this on tonight's show, or at least have it on the kickoff.
The fact we had 2 hours of talk for the kickoff last night and no matches, THEN a match gets cut, it's absurd.

Yeah, I do think it'd be fair to count entrances, given how big a part of any given 'Mania they are, especially past the early 2000s, and the KO Show, yeah, obviously that was an important prelude, too. and stuff like redoing the ring after Corbin/Drew... that's about the only time that a overly long promo actually made sense.

I thought those video packages about Wrestlemania Sunday were just the placeholders for those that sat through commercials on the free tier of Peacock? Probably If that's the case... that's f***ing stupid. the idea is... hey you won't get commercials if you watch premium! So... what the WWE's pitch is really... hey if you join premium you won't get THESE commercials... you'll get commercials for the thing you are already watching. Why not use that time for literally anything else. Show a new promo with someone before their match, show a post match interview with someone, have a silly skit like they used to do at mania all the damned time... do SOMETHING so it's not basically dead air... you can even make reference to when they used to do with home video releases and call them like Peacock Premium Exclusives! If the alternative to getting ads on WWE is getting DIFFERENT ADS then it's absolutely not worth premium.

If you don’t have premium, the video will stop multiple times for ads. It’s just a Peacock thing.

They got about 3 minutes in the end. And they made Dunne look like a goofy child. Wrestlemania!

They got about 3 minutes in the end. And they made Dunne look like a goofy child. Wrestlemania! I get that in their mind that he's supposed to be this out of control guy who is scrappy and likes to fight. However like you said instead he literally comes off like a child. Like at one point when he was starting to get riled up and started going after New Day, Sheamus just grabbed him and carried him under his arm while he was kicking and squirming. It reminded me of a child throwing a temper tantrum in public with his embarrassed father having to carry him away.

Is he supposed to be Scrappy Doo or something?
Is his catchphrase gonna be "LEMME AT HIM, LEMME AT HIM"?

Is he supposed to be Scrappy Doo or something? Is his catchphrase gonna be "LEMME AT HIM, LEMME AT HIM"? That's basically what he is and I'm honestly thinking is where they got it from in that he's small and constantly wants to fight with his two bigger friends Sheamus and Ridge playing the roles of Shaggy and Scooby and constantly having to restrain him. What's weird though is that in interview segments he never speaks and always has a somber look on his face which really doesn't fit with how hyper active he is when he's at ringside. Like you think he would be real loud and shouting about how he wants to fight while making angry faces. Instead he just stands there in his hat looking like a sad orphan boy before storming off at the end. I will say though I do kind of find it funny how Sheamus and Ridge are laughing and smiling when trying to restrain him as in they don't have much control over him but at the same time they don't really care either.

I don't know what's worse, really, the fact Kofi and Xavier wore Big E tribute gear just to get squashed at Mania, or Pete Dunne's career dying right before my eyes... but it's all very much hot garbage, and disrespectful as hell to everyone involved tbh.
As I said, New Day are getting a lot of reasons to walk when the time comes, and it's only growing lol

Anyone who pitches the idea of, "Team fights to avenge their seriously injured fallen friend on the biggest show of the year, gets effortlessly slaughtered in three minutes," should lose their job. A two-year-old has a better understanding of basic story structure than these people.

Poor booking decision having Sheamus and the Snatch crew go over - but I guess they are trying to build them as legit threats on Smackdown.
Still would have preferred to see New Day triumph.

A two-year-old has a better understanding of basic story structure than these people. I get that Sheamus and friends are the newer and fresher act and they want to push them and I'm guessing they were penciled in to win the six man that was originally planned before Big E's injury but there was really no reason they should've won given the circumstances. Holland taking the pin wouldn't have hurt the heels that much especially if you just have them win rematches on Smackdown to get their heat back once Butch finally starts wrestling which would put him over as a threat. Sadly I think Holland is the one they have the biggest plans for even after him crippling Big E.

Much like I suspected, this match would have been better served as a 10 to 12 minute Kickoff match. For as much merchandise as they move, New Day doesn't have much luck at Wrestlemania besides Kofimania. I would have let New Day win as revenge for what happened to Big E. Then, if they want to push Sheamus & pals up the tag ranks, have those guys win a rematch at Backlash.

Yeah, I was one of the folks here that actually thoroughly enjoyed Mania this year but even I thought this was criminal. They need to make more of the time they have.

Yeah, I was one of the folks here that actually thoroughly enjoyed Mania this year but even I thought this was criminal. They need to make more of the time they have. It’s sort of the unneeded stuff like what happened that loses goodwill from people because it comes off like the investment people put in as meaningless. Like, I don’t think anyone expected something long (and just under 10 minutes wouldn’t have gotten complaints for anyone) but just everything else surrounding it made it seem sort of gross.

I just don’t get why they cut matches instead of these million videos they play.

I just don’t get why they cut matches instead of these million videos they play. I feel like I'd understand the argument for hype packages on the shows themselves if there wasn't a two-hour pre-show that's free to watch where people can be sold on the show. I'm sort of at the point, especially after how AEW works things, that if you're not caught up on what's going on via the free stuff they put out, that's not up to you to catch them up via videos but using the commentary to do the legwork. It'd probably have given a lot more time to a lot more stuff by weeding much of them down.
