Dude showed out for sure. He could do it full-time and be a top star easily. The Vince stuff was weird, but I just think they needed to do more than like two outside interference spots and a Homer Simpson-approved football in the groin to get to where they wanted to go. Dude was in WarGames, for goodness sakes. ![(rofl)](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/rofl.png) IMO, I would’ve just had Steve Austin make the save during the match to help Pat win.

I made a thread a long time ago about how much of a great heel McAfee was in NXT, so it's wild to see him have such a huge babyface reaction at f***ing Wrestlemania. Dude just gets it.

He’s a good dude.
When he signed a four year deal with Fanduel at $30 million a year, he immediately donated $6 million to charity, gave his parents a million bucks and gave each of his show’s employees a quarter million.

I didn't notice when I first saw the match but oh my god Michael Cole had full on jumped out of his seat at some point. That's f***ing love, man.

Christ look at what he's done for Boogs. But the fact he damn near main evented Mania with Vince and Austin shows you what they think of him. Guy has a job for however long he wants.

I did not watch the show (I'm done giving Vince McMahon money), but I'm not surprised to hear that so many enjoyed Pat's performance. I suppose it would not shock you all to learn that before he was drafted by the Colts he apparently was wrestling on some indy shows in the WV area. Not sure what kind of training he actually had at that point though.

First time he’d ever set foot in a ring.

I think for his presentation, using him as a babyface works much better. The video of him sharing how he always wanted to wrestle, started training, footage of him when he was younger makes sense as a face. I had a hard time connecting with him as a heel, even though he knows how to portray one on camera.

Haven't seen him much but I get the sense he's got the freedom to do and say what he likes (within reason) and makes the most of that to be a consistent and entertaining character.
If only everyone had the same opportunity.

If only everyone had the same opportunity. I think Nick Khan buys a lot of freedom for Pat. Nick is huge on celebrity involvement and treating them properly. Nick would be the dude telling Vince to not go all Vince on Pat

I love pat's enthusiasm on commentary. He's great in the ring too. I'd wanna see him go full time but also don't want to lose him on the call. Michael Cole other than when he's spouting buzzwords is actually bearable with Pat
