I was looking up some titles histories for the longest lineage thread you can remember thread and was surprised to see Edge had a 1 day IC title reign in '99. Didn't think he any singles success until later. I guess because he had other runs he's not usually bought up in these threads. Also take 99 out the equation and the IC title history isn't actually that bad on paper. Suppose it's is more the lack of importance placed on it and two world titles that have diminished it rather than who has held it. It was an on the fly decision because they were in Toronto and he was losing the next night anyway. So they made the switch just because.

It was just brought to my attention that Ric Flair had an IC title reign. Anyone know when this happened?

Damien Sandow and Cody Rhodes as tag champs They never were tag champs. I think you might be mixing it up with the short lived Cody and Drew McIntyre team that were champs for about a month in 2010. It was definitely forgettable and pretty much came as a result of WWE being in one of their wanting to split up literally every tag team frenzies they get in for some reason. Since there was no teams they had to go the "let's just throw two upper midcard singles guys we like together and make them champs despite them barely having any time together as a team and no chemistry" route. Not surprisingly Cody and Drew were then also split after dropping the titles to the team of John Cena and David Otunga (yes you read that right).

Seth Rollins won Tag Team championships with Jason Jordan and Braun Strowman.
I remember more of Braun's reign with Nicholas than him winning it with Rollins.

But I forget who they are.

This will probably be before a lot of current fans' frame of reference...
But at one time Curt Hennig and Rick Martel were AWA World Heavyweight Champions.

He won it back at Fully Loaded 1999, which made him the first ever 5-time Intercontinental Champion.

Yep, Fully Loaded 99, I and I assume most other were very surprised to see him enter with the title that night.

Who are some people you forgot held certain belts? For me: AJ Styles with the IC title: it probably didn’t help that It happened during the pandemic but I gotta remind myself that this is something that happened Stone cold with the IC belt: this felt more like wwe had to give him something before strapping the world title to him. Did he even have any real defenses besides the Rock? Stone Cold lost the Intercontinental Title to The Rock by forfeit. He just gave Rock because he was going after the WWE Title. For that kayfabe reason, I’ve always considered Austin to be one of the worst Intercontinental Champions. Still, he had a pretty good and memorable (at the time) defense against the Rock at the D-Generation X ppv. But yeah, that second reign was really just borne out of necessity for Austin to go over Owen in his return match.

Right before the HHH taboo Tuesday cage match When Flair and Triple H had two PPV matches, each winning one, and the IC title just happened to not be on the line in the match Triple H won.
