With Khan now owning ROH, I think a lot of AEW fans that missed out on All In would be very interested in any sort of streaming announcement that includes that.

See, I think at least that announcement would make sense as something to do in the ring as it relates to wrestling and future matches. Popping the crowd with news that they've signed a deal to go on HBO Max however, seems totally bizarre to me. Unless you're a shareholder in AEW I can't see why you'd care all that much. If they sign a streaming deal that allows the PPVs to be seen as part of the subscription, then I’d definitely care as a viewer. 'Care' probably wasn't the right word, 'care to the point where you'd be jumping out of your seat at a wrestling show you've paid to attend' might be more accurate. It's a press release rather than part of the show.

It's a joint show with Control Your Narrative.

Meltzer said an NJPW/AEW super show is being worked on and mentioned a Sunday in late June. Maybe June 26?

Wrestle universe has been busy adding archive content this week and quite a few NJPW names are amongst them.
So maybe it's a aew/DDT/njpw/roh(/others) supercard announcement.

AEW/NJPW/DDT/ROH supercard show in the Summer called "The Forbidden Door" is my guess. Worth noting that New Japan's Road to G1 tour ends 6/21, and the G1 itself begins 7/16, so there are three open weekends for them to have this event.
Secondary guess is streaming deal.

I’m thinking it’s the AEW/NJPW Supershow June 26th at the United Center. Maybe they’ll even announce the main event tonight to generate buzz for ticket sales. My guess would be either Bryan or Punk vs. Okada

If they're doing a show with NJPW, I would want Punk vs Kenta in a feud built around Punk using the GTS.

KENTA had a pretty nasty-looking injury at Wrestle Kingdom, so I doubt he'd be back in time for any summer supershow.

Haven’t seen him since he left NXT. He's pretty prominently featured in NJPW and has been having good matches. He also had that brief cup of coffee in AEW last year where he teamed with Omega to beat Moxley and Archer, in a pretty good match I thought. It would take more than "KENTA is here!!!!!! DREAM MATCH!!!!!!!!!!!" to build up to it, but I think that Punk could definitely sell a PPV match with him, and the match itself would deliver. I think that Kenta having a Bullet Club-adjacent American mouthpiece (maybe the Bucks?) to help carry the feud would help things too.

KENTA had a pretty nasty-looking injury at Wrestle Kingdom, so I doubt he'd be back in time for any summer supershow. That looked gnarly, but he issued a statement afterwards that he's fine. Might have a permanent scar or 5 on his back, but I think he could be ready for the summer. Unless his hip was more badly dislocated than he initially let on.

Yeah, I think the gash is probably fine by now, and hopefully his broken nose, but I imagine the hip would be the big question mark.

Super Show has to feature Hiroshi Tanahashi vs Chris Jericho correct? They faced each other at Wrestle Kingdom 14 in 2020 (in a surprisingly fun match, may I add) so not likely but I'm also not against it.

Super Show has to feature Hiroshi Tanahashi vs Chris Jericho correct? Moxley if that happens: I was thinking Hiroshi Tanahashi vs Chris Jericho rematch but Ace vs Moxley would work quite well. Hopefully Super Show gets announced tonight and at least 1 big match booked.
