What would you say it is? For Raw I think it’s nwo vs Austin and the Rock but how about Smackdown? I say either the Brock vs Angle Iron Man Match or Roman vs Rey HIAC (which actually happened on my birthday)

I’m doing a rewatch of one of favourite eras in WWE for me as a fan and it’s 2003 Smackdown and that iron man match is upcoming when I get to September. I just love the whole look of Smackdown and it was distinct and I loved the silver and blue colours. Anyway it’s certainly up there as the best one on Smackdown.

Probably the main event of the first episode (not including the pilot from a few months earlier) with HHH v Rock for the title with HBK the referee turning heel on Rock. Ratings were so high in 99-2000 the "biggest" almost had to come from around then. That's why while Rock and Austin v the NWO might look bigger on paper to me the biggest Raw main event has to be something from 98-00, probably Austin v Vince in April 98, Austin winning the title from Undertaker in June 99 or Foley winning the title from Rock in January 99.
Other big Smackdown matches:
HHH/Benoit 2000 (Benoit's debut and literally a week earlier he won the WCW world title in the main event of a PPV and never lost it so it was like an unofficial WWF champ v WCW champ match - incidentally, a few weeks later they did have a real WWF champ v ECW champ with Tazz) TLC 3 2001 Hogan/Lesnar 2002 Angle/Lesnar 2003 Smackdown Rumble 2004
The biggest from recent years was probably Cena/Nakamura for the first time ever. For the right to face Jinder Mahal!

If we’re going to include the pilot, then it’s HHH/Undertaker vs. Rock/SCSA.

You know what this thread has made me realise ? I’ve watched WWE since 1994 but when I saw this thread title I had memories of Smackdown. I think I’m a Smackdown guy which bar 2010(which I have a blind spot for)Smackdown I could remember more Smackdown moments then I could raw. As I said earlier I loved the look of Smackdown but the Smackdown six did a lot to draw fans in.

First match that jumped into my head after reading the title:
BROCK LESNAR VS HULK HOGAN.
The new monster, who went on to become in many ways the new Andre, versus the biggest star in the history of wrestling.
Plus, Brock was SMASHED over, breaking Hogan's ribs and forcing him to pass out.
Pissed me off as a Hogan fan at the time, but in hindsight, Brock looked like a killer.

Lesnar and Angle's iron man match is probably the best wrestling match in SmackDown history
Not sure what is the biggest in terms of overall impact.
But let's not forget the night JBL won the non-existent SmackDown Championship.

I'd say Brock/Angle Iron Man Match and Brock/Hogan are the top 2 IMO.
