It did better than the last time they got put at 7 PM with stiffer competition. I saw some people saying they wasted a world title match but I doubt it would have spiked Dynamite in any meaningful way. Putting it here probably kept the rating from the .15 to .18 range it was doing over the past month. A win in my view.

It placed top 10 in a night dominated by Playoffs
That's what you'll take.

Didn't think we needed to make a whole other thread for this, but Battle of the Belts rating also came in
527,000 Viewers with a .18 Demo, came in at Top 10 on the night
Considering it went right up against the NBA Playoffs, that's also impressive.

World Championship match got less that 500K viewers... how's that good?

World Championship match got less that 500K viewers... how's that good? Wasn’t in the usual time slot, so hard to compare how it would’ve done in the regular slot.

World Championship match got less that 500K viewers... how's that good? At the time it aired half the country were either just getting home from work or still there. Add in NBA playoff games and you’ve still got a better number than the last time they were in this slot. That’s a positive.

World Championship match got less that 500K viewers... how's that good? Considering what it was up against, it did pretty well. It’s sucks but AEW isn’t at the level of popularity yet to overcome the ratings powerhouse of the NBA playoffs.

Every wrestling show's been affected by the NBA playoffs. It's just more noticeable with the smaller shows like Rampage and NXT because there's less of a ceiling to come down from. Combine that with last week's Rampage being at a weird time and that siphons off viewers, too.
And since I feel like this has to be repeated every time a ratings thread comes up: numbers in the key demo matter a lot more to networks and sponsors than total viewership. Rampage being in the top 10 in demo despite their less-than-ideal circumstances is its own victory. If anything, I think this demo number is one of the best Rampage's had in awhile despite that.

Isn't it unusual for any show's ratings to rise as it goes on?
Of course that's skewed by aew's big lewd in and raw being 3 hours.

Every show they put on is making the top 10. No matter what time they're putting it on, good stuff.
