Sting is genuinely a highlight of every show he's on. It's just great to see a legend having fun, getting stuck in with younger guys, putting them over, and not diminishing his legacy in any way. He's f***ing Sting. He's basically bulletproof at this point.

I know everyone thinks of the TNA spot with RVD because of that gif. But it happened in WCW, too. Amusingly while posing as the Fake NWO Sting. Only place he didn't do the spot since adopting the Crow look was WWE. I will always mark for it. I think they did another one in WCW where the NWO had a Sting mannequin crash through the ring doing his wire stunt, and then when they went to pull him out of the hole in the ring, somehow it was the real Sting.

I can't say enough good things about Sting's time in AEW. Everything he's done has made me smile, and if he calls it quits after this run, it's really the most perfect end to an in-ring career anyone could ask for. I was never a Sting guy (and I've probably already said that on this board a bunch, so apologies for redundancy), but this is the most I've ever enjoyed him and has honestly changed my view of him. Crazy veteran no-selling New Jack Sting is the f***ing best.

The guy in front of him, looks hilarious, too. "Do I tell him he's close to 70, or nah?... Nah"

It's amazing how Sting can't see betrayal coming but his opponents can't see through his disguise of being himself.

It's amazing how Sting can't see betrayal coming but his opponents can see through his disguise of being himself. Sting has had time to think about everyone who ever betrayed him and how it was always obvious from the start. So the lesson he took away from it was that the greatest deception is to just be yourself.

Well if Sting pulling out pages from his old TNA/Impact playbook, are we soon going to bare witness to the glorious return of Hostage Taking Bird? My mind immediately went to Hostage Taking Bird and Danhausen crossing paths. Take all my human money!

Sting disguised as Sting is my all time favorite wrestling trope. His run has been amazing so far. I remember when he was gonna have his first AEW match I was like “ugh, I watch AEW so I DON’T have to watch old guys wrestle” and since then he has completely shut me up and now I mark for him again like I did when I was 10 years old.
