Do Ric Flair's Last Match but it's just a short video of him deciding to buy a lighter.

Have they announced Ric's opponent for this trainwreck?

As much as I'd rather people not enable this doofus, I get why people are doing the show from a networking perspective. There's a lot of people signed on for this, and it's probably going to be a good way to meet people and build connections. It's just in the service of something morally dubious. And Conrad will be paying a small fortune 😂

I think it would be sweet if Ric Flair's Last Match didn't have Ric Flair on it. I refuse to acknowledge anything after Ric Flair's match against HBK in 2008 and Raw tribute the night after

Have they announced Ric's opponent for this trainwreck? Get Ernest Miller, may as well go all in on this possibly being The Wrestler 2. (I hope it isn't, of course, despite what you may think of Flair now. Still...)

They just announced Jon Moxley vs El Desperado for the Music City Mayhem show is that AEW Mox or GCW Mox because honestly not a great look for AEW as they don't need the money or the press positive or negative from this carny bullshit (especially if something goes wrong with Flair) I'd understand Impact and GCW wanting money and press, good or bad. Still a big oof on this show overall as a an idea, but the alot of matches look good I guess.

WWE reacknowledging Ric...does anyone else wonder if someone there too is expecting the worst and feel they might as well mend fences as it were?

WWE reacknowledging Ric...does anyone else wonder if someone there too is expecting the worst and feel they might as well mend fences as it were? Nope, they'll have removed him when they felt it was bad for PR and added him back in the moment they felt things had calmed down, same with Hogan. They (Vince) aren't actually personally bothered by their behaviour unless it might effect his business in any way, shape or form.

I just saw this in a recent google news article/wrestlingnews.co that Ric Flair "recently noted on his podcast that accommodations will be made for McMichael to transport him to Nashville so he can be in attendance for Flair's last match."
Not even sure what to say. Ric's love for Steve shows the person that I wish Ric was all the time and could have been for his life. There is a goodness in Ric but it gets overlooked, of course, because he's always playing the character and he could rarely if ever turn that off and he's hurt a lot of people. This might be a silver lining to the whole "will he die in the ring?" question as I can't imagine Ric wanting Steve's last memory of Ric to be such. The article noted "according to Ric Flair, he (Steve) doesn't plan on letting the disease stop him from traveling" so it will be interesting to see this play out.
If Steve wishes to be a part of Ric's last match, I hope he is able to go. Steve was a relatively small part of Ric's wrestling life but seems like those guys love each other more than most other wrestlers who were together much longer. I think it was always like that, Steve's illness just showcases it more.

They're doing a documentary on Ric in advance of the match. It's nothing you haven't seen, but his first wife's in it and a few others. The first part is up now, it's interesting. It doesn't go TOO hard, but it's also not 100% glowing, either. As I continue to watch, it's also definitely a bit propaganda, for sure. Not sure how I feel about it. starrcast.com/ric-flairs-last-match

I'm both really happy for the guy for getting the opportunity and also...not, if that makes sense.

On one hand, I think Conrad's a tad carnie, but I also don't think he'd kill his father-in-law. The reality is that Ric must be in decent enough shape to do like 3-5 minutes of action over the course of a 10-12 minute six-man tag. When you watch it, what you see is a dude that's been really sad for a really long time. The last 10 minutes aren't an easy watch. That said, he does cut a promo at the end that shows he would still have major value to a wrestling promotion if he kept his shit together.

It's really well done. I can acknowledge that while feeling a little dirty for watching it. The trouble is, that's also most of Shaun's work retroactively (like, the Devlin/Starr/WALTER videos are some of the best packages I've ever seen. Can I ever watch them again? F*** no) so this sort of fits in that wheelhouse.

They have announced Ricky and Kerry Morton (with Robert Gibson) vs Brian Pillman Jr and Brock Anderson (with Arn Anderson).
That scuttles the rumored Flair match since the Rock n Roll are already booked.
Is Flair facing a mystery man? It really seems like they would have the match in place before starting all of this since it’s the basis of the whole show.

This is going to sound pretentious and I don't mean it to, but there are people in Facebook groups who I trust that have genuine connections and what they're hearing is it's Andrade and Ric vs. Jay Lethal and someone else. Ric taking a shot at Jericho last night on Twitter makes me wonder if it's Andrade/Ric vs. Jericho/Lethal.

I admittedly don't know much about his personal dealings, so if he's been accused of anything, I am late to the party on that.
