Remember.... Kurt Angle is part of the Conrad empire. The next event will surely be Kurt Angle's Last Match.

Taker, Foley and Bret were in attendance congratulating Flair. I'm considering wrestling beefs as kayfabe carny rubbish as words hardly ever match actions amongst these old timers. Bret and Flair apparently squashed their feud years ago. Bret will usually send Flair a birthday shoutout (or get well wishes if he needs them) on his Instagram. Though even in Bret’s book where he’d tear apart Flair’s work constantly, there was a bit about Ric telling Bret some old Buddy Rogers story since he knew Bret loved hearing old tales of the business. So maybe they hated each other professionally, but got along better personally.

I watched some clips of it, and Jesus Christ, don't ever let it be said that Jeff Jarrett doesn't know how to work.

Outside of the Flair stuff, the story of the event should be how somebody needs to sign Jacob Fatu away from MLW.

The Triple A match was really the match of the night too, I only really know Rey Fenix but all of them put on a hell of a match.

Remember.... Kurt Angle is part of the Conrad empire. The next event will surely be Kurt Angle's Last Match. Kurt has genuinely been open about the fact that after his last knee surgery, he can’t wrestle again. Considering how much he was itching to post Corbin match, I find myself believing him. At least until Conrad books it, I mean.

So, uh, other than the main even being both sad and terrifying I thought the show overall was pretty damn good. Fatu/Alexander (despite the shit ending), the Lucha 4-way, and the women's triple threat were all great.

I think DDP giving Matt Cardona a diamond cutter makes me think there's a very real chance we see "DDP's Last Match" next year with DDP and a team vs. the Major Pod guys. Not even joking. DDP's 66 and could probably pull it off in a more admirable way than Flair.

He takes care of himself, so I have no issues with him doing it.

DDP is also the anti-Flair in the sense that his post wrestling career has seen him universally beloved for positive contributions to the business/society where Flair is an embarrassing drunk/sexual deviant with the credibility of a used car salesman.

I’m also very surprised that New Japan had their two star dojo graduates have a match on the same show as a AAA four way.
I figured CMLL would lose their minds because of that.

That aside, just a general observation that no matter what they may say or write, in person it's usually hugs and handshakes. I mean, look at Warrior over the HOF weekend 2014.

Isn't CMLL getting self-owned so hard that they can't really afford to do anything that'd piss off NJPW? Last I heard, they were in pretty bad shape and making some stupid decisions that made AAA look professional in comparison.

That NJPW match was the first match on the card and it was on the pre-show, so wondering if that had enough distance from the AAA match where CMLL wouldn't have a real right to care.
