Saw this shared on Twitter by the Cauliflower Alley Club. Bern reported a couple other places, but doesn't seem like it's getting a lot of attention. I've never seen any of his work, but I remember him being all over the Apter mags back in the day. Reading this story shed a lot of light on some things I had always wondered about, like why he just never seemed to get anywhere. Anybody have anymore insight on the guy? Sad to see him go so young, no matter what. Only 41 years old. Rest in peace, sir. slamwrestling.net/index.php/2022/04/21/royal-stud-adam-windsor-dead-at-41/

His story is a strange one. My understanding is that he was a money mark whose family's wealth bought him into the position of being Dory Funk Jr.'s star student and protege who got all that attention in the Apter mags and a cushy spot with Funk and a few Florida promoters where he didn't have to do jobs. The problem was he was apparently never that good, so his WWF tryouts came to nothing, and never progressed past !BANG! and NWA Florida, and when he fell out with the Funks - and there a few salacious rumours about what happened there - he pretty much drifted out of the industry.
It's still sad though, he's a name I remember from the early 2000s, and no one should die at that age.

If those are the highlights, I would hate to see the rest of the matches. He's...really not good. He moves super stiff, telegraphs everything, sells poorly, and looks like he stepped out of 1989, not 1999.

He never worked outside of a couple of companies in Florida so clearly never really evolved, and he was caught in that weird weight class purgatory where he was too small to be a heavyweight, too big to be a cruiserweight, and wasn't a good enough worker or character to transcend that like a Jericho or Eddy Guerrero or someone.
I think to an extent he was a victim of the Funks, who saw a cash cow and didn't want to jeopardise that, and exploited him a bit. Perhaps if he had trained under someone else or didn't have the money background he did, while he wouldn't have had the cushy position he ended up with he might've turned into a better worker, and wouldn't have developed the ego he was rumoured to have.

Saw his name come up on Wikipedia, sorry to say that I'm not familiar with any of his matches.
Only 41.. That's too young for a heart attack...
Rest in peace, sir.
