FTR should spread the rumor that they are going to use Ernie Keebler as their manager just to see what happens.

I mean good for Bret getting paid, I selfishly wanted him in AEW. But you have to think WWE doesn't want their legends being part of the rival.

He wanted this to be quiet and you're all talking much louder than he's comfortable with.

Good for Bret but I just hope they do something with him. If WWE paid him a lot of money just to not work AEW, that's a pretty stupid financial decision on their part. Bret isn't going to bring in any considerable money to AEW. So if you're not doing anything with Bret, it's unclear what the financial calculus is other than Vince just not wanting someone else to play with his toys. Same reason Taker is signed to a “lifetime” deal now, and I’m sure Austin similarly.

Yeah I’d imagine the guys that fall into that group for Vince are Taker, Austin, Bret, Shawn, HHH, Rock, Cena, Orton.

There was a virtual signing not too long ago where a fan asked if Bret was going to AEW and he responded “To do what?”
Dude probably doesn’t want a week to week manager job. Even if he loves Bald Revival. I don’t blame him for not wanting to go out and perform on a weekly show with his age and health.
Plus. Bret is a big legacy guy and knows his legacy in wrestling is WWE and all the footage they have. WWE offers to toss him some money, keep his legacy intact and not work. Shiiiiiit. Anyone would take that

You’re still working out there, moving about selling the match. Bret’s done with that shit lol. It’s not like Tully or Arn who still want to be in it.

Wonder if Martha will make an appearance in AEW for the Owen cup, and Bret thought it would be best to stay away to keep her pleased.

It’s probably Bret lol.

I’d love to see Bret as the GM of NXT 2.0. He does not even need to appear every week or anything.
Just the thought of the most serious wrestler around with all that wackiness around him would be funny imo.

I need to get Bret's thoughts on NXT 2.0, because he IS the same age as the average viewer after all. I like to think he's a huge Mandy Rose and Toxic Attraction fan. Would 4/10 be repurposed to describe his erection in this instance🤔 Will Seth Rollins show up?

I didn't think he'd wanna be a weekly manager even if a one off in a big PPV tag match would have ruled
Good for him regardless

Bret and Shawn have long since made up, but it would be interesting to see them working together in some way.

Yep. Wasn’t part of the reason he came back in 2010 because WWE had the video library to the majority of his career and he wanted a say in how he was presented ? I mean WWE put stampede stuff on the network early on and then took it down because bret owns the rights to his stuff in stampede and nobody asked him. in a way I can understand why he’s that way given all that happened in Montreal. Yes, that's exactly it. He also wanted Martha to try to get Owen's footage rights in the lawsuit for the same reason, but I forget if she either didn't pursue that since it wasn't the point, or knew that wasn't realistic. Either way, she felt betrayed by him going to WWE, same with how the other Harts undermined her in the Owen lawsuit for their own interests. Bret's actions are far less egregious, but yeah, if I was Martha, I would probably feel some level of disgust, too. I… yeah I never understand that move. What a carney move to make although the harts seem to be this ultra weird wrestling family.
