Best star on the current roster to never win a world title?

I want to pick Finn Balor since he only got to be champion for a day. But I guess he doesn’t count. Cody is the obvious choice, but he just got here. I guess I’ll pick Baron Corbin.

It's definitely Shinsuke given the heights he reached. No one has come as close as he has this many times without winning it. I hear where folks are coming from on Sami. He's great. I just don't think they see him as that kind of guy. He's a fun middle of the card act who will entertain and show some ass to get faces over. Maybe there's a small chance he gets a short Miz esque run via MITB but I don't think it's likely.

To be fair, it's hard to see anyone mentioned here actually getting a world title in the current climate where the WWE and Universal titles are unified, and Roman Reigns is on his run of dominance that not only has no end in sight, they may keep it on him for a few more years to have a champion who bests Hogan's first run. Even if that doesn't happen, we could have at least another year of Reigns as the only world champion if they don't walk back the unification soon.

I would say Nakamura. There's times where I think he won the belt and then remember he didn't. That makes him the best star not to win it for me as I can't say that about guys like Zayn or Corbin.

Yeah, if we're talking actual Title Run I'd probably say Finn, since the crowd are always super behind him even when he's doing nothing or doing something that on paper is cheesy as hell.

but the topic says to not "Win a world title" and Finn was the first Universal champion.

It does count, WWE acknowledges it. They acknowledge Andre and Seth holding the WWF Title for less than 5 minutes. I don’t know why someone would think it doesn’t count.

I meant it doesn’t count to put him on the list even though I wanted to.
