Kirby's Dream Land first came out in Japan on April 24th, 1992.
I've never been a crazy huge Kirby fan but I have played most of them over the years (think the only 2D platformer I haven't played at some point is Return to Dream Land) and it does certainly have a place in my heart. Had been kind of in the mood for a new one for a bit so really wish they were doing a 2D platformer for the anniversary - have absolutely no interest in trying out Forgotten Land - but at least we'll get Kirby 64 on the Switch soon, better than nothing.
Funny enough my first exposure to Kirby was actually through Avalanche and Dream Course, got them for my like fifth or sixth birthday.
