A spin-off of sorts to the thread about the Undisputed Championship...but I've seen things talked about a bit here and there.
So, with the current state of the belts used for WWE, let's look at what we've got:
WWE Championship:
Universal Championship:
Intercontinental Championship:
United States Championship:
Raw Tag Team Championship:
Smackdown Tag Team Championship:
Raw Women's Championship:
Smackdown Women's Championship:
WWE Women's Tag Team Championship:
24/7 Championship:
NXT Championship:
NXT North American Championship:
NXT Tag Team Championship:
NXT Women's Championship:
NXT Women's Tag Team Championship:
NXT UK Championship:
NXT UK Women's Championship:
NXT UK Tag Team Championship:
[Geez, anyone my age bracket remember when this company only had 3-4 titles?]
But anyway, some things I wanted to state here, and then open the floor to others:
-I am in favor of Men and Women titles having similar designs to each other, even if there's a strap color change. Makes the women titles not seem lesser than the men's titles, just a gender difference. And if WWE ever did want to have a woman go after one of the two top ones, could always equate that as something like a middleweight boxer going up to heavyweight. Though I personally wouldn't have the two Women's Titles (or for that matter the main roster men's tag titles) represented by brand personally.
-I am not against the big logo design as some people are, and I find it better with the current logo than the scratch logo one. It is a bit much to have 4 titles with that look, but in kayfabe terms it theoretically keeps them on even footing.
-Back to my first point, it is odd that the main roster Women's Tag Team Titles don't follow that "similar look to Men's titles" trend, unlike their NXT counterparts. Maybe if the main roster tags get redesigned, since I GUESS it could be argued the helmet look doesn't really go with women (unless you go with like, Amazons from DC Comics or something)
-Back to point two, while I don't hate the big logo look, I do feel the two singles NXT UK titles do better with that shape of the belt in creativity.
-Current IC title is an odd beast to me. In some lighting it looks fine, in others too plain. A bit more color on it would have helped I do believe (and this is coming from a fan of the Undisputed, which was just black and gold)
-Despite who holds it, I like the US title. In a way the "United States" aspect of it is much more understated than the previous design.
-The North American Championship seems to be an odd duck compared to the other NXT titles. More an old school look, as in around WrestleMania 1 time frame. At least comparatively.
-That said, even with the recent tweak via NXT 2.0, I think the NXT titles are great looking ones and, should they decide to redesign the main roster titles, they should go with something more that aesthetic. Especially for the tag team titles.
-I'm up in the air about the side-plates thing. I mean, I like the default ones, and side plates did sorta leave an off impression when The Rock debuted the first "big logo" style when he had his side-plates on the title...but at the same time it's just a light bit of personalization that's a more modern take on the nameplate that Big Gold had. And outside of the merchandising standpoint, it gives a bit of character to a title holder, showing what their plates could be.
-24/7 Championship...exists.
Anyway, have at it.
