I remember driving to work on Wednesday and he was in an interview for his match with Manny Ferno, a young heel IWA wants to build as a top player. During the interview, someone asked Invader if he watched the Dark Side of the Ring episode on the Bruiser Brody case and his thoughts about it. While Invader did say that he served as an enforcer backstage at the time, he mostly disassociated himself from the accusations, saying that those were made to attack his reputation.

That guy is still wrestling at 76? Yes, that’s my biggest takeaway from this. The biggest takeway for me was the DSOTR closing crawl where it was revealed Gonzalez still dons the Invader I mask - for CHILDREN'S birthday parties. |

Yeah, they did a worked thing where Manny came off the top on Jose, who began spitting a large amount of blood.
What I heard years ago was that it was pig’s blood and the angle was supposed to be Manny did it for revenge over Brody.

Still not as bad as Jorge Gonzales. At least Jose didn't try to make entire crowds gouge their own eyes out with latex flesh tone bodysuits.

See, there's a misconception about the puking blood incident given the number of Invaders. As far as I can remember, there are 3 Invaders: José Huertas González (Invader 1), Invader 2 who was on and off WWC during the 80s and 90s, and the man in the video, Invader 3. Invader 3 is Invader 1's tag team partner and,while they dress in similar gear, they're different people as Invader 3 opened his own wrestling school (helped trained Ivelisse and Mecha Wolf, among other local wrestlers) while Invader 1 always has the vine of being a prick if things don't go his way. |
