So my YouTube feed kept recommending this to me yesterday and finally I decided to give it a shot last night. Got about two minutes in before I just went into full "I just can't deal with this" mode.
Been trying to give it another chance this morning. I'm about ten minutes in. The Riverdale-esque storytelling is off-putting, simply because I can't tell if it's supposed to be played straight or a parody of it. Do appreciate some of the deep cuts and tributes to older Scooby canon like the gang being from Coolsville, Ohio instead of Crystal Cove, California, and Shaggy's Dad being a police officer. Also the Harvey Birdman appearance was pretty awesome. Still feels like some missed opportunities though, like Fred's bully/rival not being Red Herring.

I just watched the whole thing, it's pretty good. The production values are top notch
Loved the chemistry with Fred and Velma, and Shaggy and Daphne had their own independent plotlines which leads eventually to it all coming together at the party. Also thought it was an interesting choice to still keep the gang somewhat at a distance despite all of them being present there. Daphne only 'notices' Fred towards the end for example, and they don't meet Norville and Scooby at all.
Their choice of Scoob was great too, loved it when Shaggy ordered him to attack and he didn't budge at all. What could of been an euphoric moment for the audience is entirely turned on it's head and Norville's still left looking a loser. Looks like they'll be more costly drama with his dad if he's found to be the scapegoat.
Daphne putting her reputation on the line to save her rival from the spiked drink was a great inkling into how she could potentially end up losing her preppy social status and come to mingle more with Fred and Velma, though it's still early days.
So all of Scooby's most familiar monsters will be represented by the 13 pillars, and Van Ghoul got a mention from the Hex Girls, and the post-credits revealed the Knight from the pilot is the next threat.

I think I loved this. For years, I've wanted to write a story that was essentially Supernatural meets The 13 Ghosts Of Scooby-Doo that I would never quite get to come together and that is exactly what this is. A little surprised the cast hasn't really come together as a group yet. Must be going for a slow burn approach. With the Hex Girls' mention of a High Priestess Van Goul, I wonder if Vincent is planned to show up. Looks like episode has already met the funding goal, so that's good to see. www.indiegogo.com/projects/mystery-incorporated-episode-2#/

Update from their YT community page
Being able to do it on a bigger scale with no crowd funding required? Sounds like they've maybe got the backing of an independent and might even be working through legal channels

Some updates from their Indie-Go Go Page
They were impacted by the SAG and DGA strikes last year, and their director is still tied up with commitments over in Canada. They're waiting on his return before they can provide any other information on the window for production of episode 2
