From my earlier childhood memory, "I Dream of Jeannie" ends with a bunch of men storming into Jeannie's bedroom, suffocating her with a pillow because she's sort of a witch. I'm sure it was a dream, but I never looked into it, so I'm really not sure.

I never understood the original Mandela effect, that gave the phenomenon its name. How could Madela have died in prison in the '80s when he quite promiently was South Africa's president in the mid to late '90s? Or was the misbelief common between those two events?

Yeah that never made any sense to me either.

There was another prominent activist named Stephen Biko who died in police custody in 1977. People started increasing pressure on the South African government to end Apartheid after his death. There was an international concert for awareness, Peter Gabriel sang and even debuted a song with Biko's name. There was even a Hollywood movie about it. Denzel Washington played Biko. He was nominated for an Oscar for his role.

I know zero people who ever thought Mandela died in the 80s. A better name for it would be the Berenstain Bears effect--that's the one that everybody knows. People thinking Mandela died isn't false memories, it's just being ignorant of politics.

Didn't CM Punk's sister think Kevin Nash was dead? As far as I know, his "sister" is really just an extremely close friend he considers his sister. What I mean to say is, it's in no way a blood or family relation.

A week or so ago, one of my childhood friends told me a mutual friend of ours Mother had passed away.
When I looked at her obit, I saw she was survived by our mutual friend and his father.
The kicker is both my childhood friend and I swear this guy's Dad died years ago.

One came up on a fan board about Letterkenny. There was a scene people swore they remembered in the series, self included, that isn’t there. Even during rewatches I wait for the scene, but it never comes, even though in my head I remember it clear as day. It’s so weird.

I watched that last night and its how I remrmber Myself (and other people I know IRL) remember the music video having way less Avril in it and telling the story of the song more (everyone remembers a shot of a woman watching TV by herself with a kid), to the point I started thinking "was there an alternate video released just for the UK or something?" but I can find nothing. EDIT: Search Avril Lavigne Mandela effect and you'll see a Reddit thread with a bunch of us confused

Ed McMahon never worked for publishers clearing, meaning he didnt go to the winners house with a giant check - this absolutely blows my mind Wait, what?? Publishers Clearing House had commercials where somebody showed up at people's houses with a big novelty check. Ed McMahon worked for American Family Publishers, which featured an illustration of Ed on their envelopes. The two companies were not affiliated in any way, but gags on TV and in stuff like Mad Magazine conflated the two regularly back in the day.

Not only do I remember the Fruit of the Loom logo having a cornucopia, I even remember my first grade teacher teaching us the word "cornucopia" by telling up "It's that thing on the Fruit of the Loom logo," and we all said, "Oh yeah, that thing!" My brother goes so far as to believe that there really was a cornucopia at one time, but all evidence of it has mysteriously vanished. You just blew my mind! I could have sworn there was a cornucopia back in the 90s-00s I think it's cause the weird leaves are on either side of the fruit it looks like there should be something behind the main logo.
