Sorry for not just asking in the other threads but they’re split among aew and wwe forums and about different aspects.
Anyways, I heard smatterings of people “oh he in Australia filming for young Rock”. But it wasn’t until I heard the Art of Wrestling podcast that they’re filming everything there.
I thought everything not filmed in Hollywood would be Canada. Why would they go all the way over there for an nbc 30 minute sit com about America in the 80’s? Seems like a pain to take an entire film crew and cast there. Quarantine and stuff. Every gotta do it every couple of weeks or just stay there for months.

Actually, very few films and shows are filmed in Hollywood itself anymore; rather, they're shooting in various remote locations like New Mexico and Georgia (on top of Canadian locations like Vancouver). The reason? Tax incentives and other benefits that slash millions off the overall budget.
This isn't limited to North America either, as places like New Zealand and yes, Australia, offer similar federal-level government incentives for shooting on location (see: Power Rangers filming in New Zealand since the early 2000s as a prime example). My bet is they are getting a nice deal shooting there rather than somewhere like California or Hawaii.

Cheaper costs, that's why Power Rangers has spent the last 20 years being filmed in New Zealand

It's cheaper and the various Australian states subsidise the crap out of it because so many talented people in the Australian film industry are fleeing overseas because the Federal Government is incredibly stingy with Art grants and slash funding for any Australian scripted original shows.

Because you touch yourself at night. Rock beats paper. But paper beats rock. Kiff, we have a conundrum.

And with that, an idea comes to me. Power Rangers and Lord of the Rings crossover. Wouldn't that be The Mystic Knights of Tir Na Nog? Which was actually shot on location in Ireland. In this case, it cost too much to both shoot on location and have the series be entirely original footage. So it was cancelled and budget allocated to Power Rangers: Lost Galaxy. Back to Young Rock, the kid segments of the show have mostly been set in Hawaii. It's easier to find beaches and locations in Australia that can look like Hawaii compared to Los Angeles as well there being a sizable population of Samoans living in Australia.

I was watching tonight and there was a "Georgia" logo, so some of it must be filmed there.
