When I watched Raw last night, when Austin Theory was being interviewed, it reminded me of those old promos from the early-1990s on episodes of Superstars and Wrestling Challenge when a wrestler would be interviewed on a stage that overlooked the crowd. I am not sure if that's what creative went for, but it felt that way, in my opinion.

I liked it also, I remember they did it for a short time in late 05 with Edge's feud with Ric Flair.
EDIT: Sorry about that

That was great. Shades of Macho Man and Warrior cutting killer promos in a similar spot.

I mean we sometimes get interviews in the back, but those old platform interviews, we could use some more of those from time to time. Hell, that guy who lost to Veer, that interview felt like an old-school in-ring interview. I don't mean a typical segment that takes place in the ring, I mean when you have an announcer in the ring with a microphone and interviewing someone. Sure, that happens sometimes, but not a lot.

Oh cool, used to love those as they often made the crowd look enormous. Don't think they should have stopped.
