I know it's been said before, but wow. Tonight cemented it for me that he may easily become the GOAT. The way he plays off the crowd is a league of its own.
And despite that, I love to cheer against him.

Indeed, he is gold. I've said it before and I'll say it again, favorite character origin stories of 2021/2022 - 1.) Rick Sanchez (Rick and Morty), (very close) 2.) MJF (AEW).

Been saying it since the early days of AEW: the absolute best on the mic since Rock.
Man’s gonna have the wrestling-world by the balls in 2024.

Yeah, definitely my fave wrestler in AEW. (Along with Daniel Bryan and Kenny Omega.)
He DESERVES a sick ass raise whenever his contract is up. The Rock like money!

He's reached a new level this year. Sometimes he could be too try hard, hut he's grown enormously as a performer and is so well rounded now.

2024 is gonna be just amazing, depending on how they play it.
(But I don’t want him to leave!)

Yeah I think he's more focused and the Punk fued added depth to his character. Doing commentary or a quick promo from the sky box most weeks makes the longer segments more meaningful, his material isn't spread so thinly.

He is extraordinarily good already and yet like Dennis he has not even begun to peak

I remember when my dude Orton first started to take off in 2004, I thought what a shame it was he was peaking so early in his career, turns out it wasn't even close to his peak. I expect to feel the same way about MJF.

The guy's phenomenal, he reminds me very much of Miz in terms of serviceable in ring but amazing on the mic, but if people appreciated Miz more at the time. Plus he's crazy young still & improving all the time in his matches. I think he's too naturally hateable to ever be a top face but he could definitely be this generation's Ric Flair style ultra-heel on the top of the mountain, the guy you pay to see in the hope that anyone beats him. I would like him to jump to WWE in honesty, partly as I think he could play off so many WWE guys amazingly (Again Miz, I feel like it's the only heel vs heel feud you could do that would actually draw as people would want to see what these two utter pricks will say or do to each other next. Or Edge, play off Rated R Superstar with MJF being the REAL provocative one just via his mouth. It might be better for him and would also elevate the quality of WWE. But he's got to be AEW champion before he goes (if he goes), the guy embraces being a heel like few others and has somehow made cheap heat not feel cheap. Absolute star.
