Peter does make a good point. Everything you love will eventually decay in quality for you eventually if it lasts long enough.

I do. Today.
Cause I still watch and enjoy it for what it is (a spotfest version of a sitcom).

I loved pre-cancellation Family Guy.
It wasn't a huge hit, especially in the UK, so it felt like me and my brother had discovered a little gem just for us watching it late at night on, I think, Sky One. I loved The Simpsons too but it had been in decline for a few years at that point so when we saw Family Guy it felt like we'd seen "the new Simpsons" before anyone else realised it. I got Seasons 1-3 on DVD and for a while coming home from school and watching them together was the highlight of my day.
I was delighted when I heard it got revived and while I did enjoy the initial comeback episodes, it never did feel quite the same. I still collect the DVDs (or did until they seemed to stop releasing them) but I haven't bothered to keep up with new episodes as they air in over a decade now.
There's still highlights but some of the newer episodes (particularly one heavily lampooning a very polarising politician) are truly awful.

Eldritch abominations just running around all willy-nilly and we're all "eh, I liked it at some point..."

It really says something when the OP is about some weird WTF video and everyone is talking about how Family Guy has been phoning it in for years.
And no, I will not watch that video. I want to sleep at night.

The thumbnail is creepy enough so I’ll just say I occasionally laugh at it, but it’s hit or miss and American Dad is Seth’s best cartoon.

I still do as well. I'm not saying it's great or anything... but it's an easy, entertaining watch for me.

There was a time when I would definitely watch it, but those days are gone. Most of the eps are hit & miss for me (mostly the latter). But I'd still rather watch Family Guy over South Park, TBH.

At some point I watched Family Guy, American Dad, The Simpsons, and South Park whenever it was on but eventually tired of them. King of the Hill is my all time favorite because the characters are way more realistic.

For all the times it made fun of The Simpsons for holding on too long, pretty much the same thing has happened to them, wherein the golden years will never be matched again, but you'll still occasionally get a joke or even an entire episode that reminds you of what it used to be.

I still like it, but as I only watch it if nothing else is on I don't have over-saturation.

Making the baby a gay, British accented Frasier/Niles was a stroke of genius and any scenes with the Adam West character are a delight. Other than that its very average and South Park had their number re cutaways/manatees.

It reminds me of modern Simpsons in the sense that a few episodes a year, the writers reach back and find their fastball. The rest is a blend of "terrible" and "ok"

Their cutaways used to be hilarious prior to cancellation.
