Both are influential stars. Bryan along with Punk helped wwe bring in more Indy guys, but Mox pretty much helped start up AEW and make it viable competition. Idk how AEW would of done without him

If you’re talking about whose been bigger for AEW, your point is completely right about Moxley.
For the industry? A lot of people wouldn’t have gotten a shot in mainstream companies if Bryan didn’t click how he did.

Danielson is pretty much the poster child for the 00s generation of wrestling and you can see now the talent coming up that he has inspired. I ain't saying Moxley hasn't inspired but Bryan will go down as one of the most important wrestlers of the 21st century

Without Bryan and Punk, I don't know that Mox actually gets the chance to break through, so I'd argue Bryan's more influential overall.
Mox was a huge get for AEW in the moment, though.

Bryan could do what Moxley did. Moxley couldn't do what Bryan did.

I like Moxley, but Bryan f***ing Danielson is not only one of the best wrestlers of his generation, but had a big influence, too.

I recognize this is not an apples to apples comparison, but in terms of impact, Moxley debuting for AEW was like Luger showing up on Nitro. A big get that shows this new kid on the block isn't screwing around. Bryan was like getting Scott Hall - a game changer.

Jon Moxley was a huge get for AEW. He's the one guy that's proven to be able to consistently pop the ratings, he was a gigantic credibility shot in the arm of AEW from day one, and he's done enough for the bigger picture of pro wrestling that it really hurts to say he isn't even close to Bryan Danielson.
Danielson, I think, is the most influential wrestler since Steve Austin. Yeah, I think that even though The Rock is almost unquestionably the most popular wrestler of all time, Danielson was more influential. And the reason I think that is because Danielson fundamentally changed the perception of what a wrestler had to be to be a top draw. There were a lot of people stunned that this goofy looking, little, technical wrestler guy could actually be more popular than 'traditional' huge muscly wrestlers like Batista and Orton. If Danielson didn't have that level of success, it's less likely that The Elite could have convinced enough people that there was a market for non-WWE wrestling for All In to have been the success it was. Basically I think through the butterfly effect, there's a pretty good chance that there would've never been an AEW if it weren't for Danielson's success.
