I mean, there's no hope for Nikki A.S.H but everyone else might come out better. Iyo and Kai run interference and cost Asuka and Alexa, leading to them later returning the favor. It's one possibility, even if it's a small one.

Really weird tournament bracket honestly. IYO & Dakota / Alexa & Asuka is kind of so obviously the choice for the finals that it's really weird that it's impossible. Kudos for not just going the route of, "Tournament as a backdrop to an existing feud," I guess but it does feel like the right side of the bracket is basically totally inconsequential. Which is a fitting metaphor for the Smackdown vs Raw women's divisions at the moment.

The SD side of this is so irrelevent in so many ways not just they literally had to scrape together teams for that entire side but also there are no tangeable stories for any of them...where as Raw you have the best women on the roster that ties them back to the main title , SD does not even have that.
The draft cannot get here any sooner for them because they need seriously help in fixing that womens division.
But something I mulled over and I am believing now Nikkeh and Dropper are going to win this tournament.
next week Bayley Buddies are going to cost Alexa and Asuka their match...cue the inverse happening when Bianca Buddies do the same to IYO and Dakota....Nikkeh and Dropper are going to banana peel their way to the titles. Fitting for a team with Nikkeh.
But why them you ask? well two reasons.
1. Clash at the Castle...if they put the finals there Nikkeh and Drop should get a huge pop by winning the titles.
AND
2. What did Sasha and Naomi want to do before they left? feud with Nikkeh and Dropper over the titles.
And if the plan is to give the titles back to Sasha and Naomi them beating Nikkeh and Droppy is the easiest and least harmfui path to take on their return...and you would then have to assume they drop them to IYO and Dakota sometime later.

I wonder if one of the Smackdown teams is a red herring and will be replaced by Sasha and Naomi, who make it to the finals against Iyo and Dakota.

If I have a nitpick about the tournament, it's that some of the teams are pretty obvious with who's gonna lose, like last night when you had Tamina and Dana Brooke, and this Friday with Raquel and Aliyah, since God forbid Aliyah actually does anything in the ring. But if the booking is going to be like last night, even those teams will be able to look decent. I mean, there's no hope for Nikki A.S.H but everyone else might come out better. As I said, I honestly see Raquel and Aliyah winning over Shotzi and Xia.

One thing people seem to be assuming here is that the finals are taking place at Clash. When they can easily take place afterwards as well. Nikki and Doudrop would also be ice cold champions as well. I mean just a couple of weeks ago they were losing in 2 on 1 matches against Alexa basically. So even if they won the titles, they would likely drop them right back to Sasha/Naomi or would get rolled on by Control.

I'm guessing probably because they needed a face team with how heel heavy the roster is. Therefore that disqualified Toxic Attraction. Kayden and Katana are faces but are currently the NXT Champions. Ivy and Tatum would've made more sense but I guess Tatum might be injured which is maybe why they weren't chosen. Crazy how Paxley suffered the same injury as Jamie Hayter did (broken nose) during the same week. And a few months ago Madison Rayne got her nose broken on an Impact PPV. Not a good summer for women's wrestlers and their noses.

I doubt the finals will be at Clash of the Castle since either Control or Alexa/Asuka (more likely the former) are going to be the Raw finalist and all four them are already booked on that show as part of the six woman match. It would be super unlikely for Nikki and Doudrop to make the finals. Them beating Alexa/Asuka is very unlikely as it is but then I have a tough seeing them doing a heel vs. heel match Control and then there's no way they would have their new heel stable their trying to push lose to them even after interference from Bianca/Asuka/Alexa.

Crazy when you think if Becky hadn’t been injured that it would likely be Asuka and Becky in the tag tournament together

I kinda expect the NXT team is filler and that they're not coming up just yet, sort of like when NXT people have gotten into the Rumble or Bo Dallas against Barrett. A progress report of sorts.

WWE seems to love putting the obvious final of tournaments as the semifinal these days. NXT had a bunch of tournaments earlier this year that all had the match everyone thought would be the final as one of the semifinal matches. Hopefully this one pans out a bit better than the Breakout Tournament, where the planned final was changed due to injury.

As I said, I honestly see Raquel and Aliyah winning over Shotzi and Xia. That's a hard match to predict in that Raquel is getting pushed but Aliyah is not. So I guess either Raquel dominates and Aliyah screws up and gets pinned or Aliyah gets beat up but manages to hot tag Raquel who dominates and powerbombs one of the heels to win. I lean more towards the former in that on the other side of the SD bracket I see the face Team NXT winning. They clearly see big things in Nikkita and Zoey is the #1 Contender for the NXT title right now so I can't see them being sacrificed for Natalya and Sonya, both of whom have really nothing going on right now. Natalya was recently in the title picture but that seems done now and honestly under the new regime I see her getting less of a role in that I think the days of her being the go to shoe horn filler title challenger being over. I see the likes of Shayna (which is already happening) and Shotzi jumping ahead of her on the depth chart.

With her challenging Mandy it would've avoided the whole mess with the tag titles where Roxanne was teaming with Cora to challenge for the tag titles but still had her guaranteed title shot with Mandy. Although I guess it still doesn't explain Cora turning on Roxanne after they won the tag titles.

Smart of them to not have Zoey's appearance before the NXT title match. Leaves things more open.

Natalya will need to have her carrying boots on to get anything even remotely passable out of Nikkita next week. Still wondering why the hell they are throwing her onto the main roster this early considering just how bad she actually is. Like she's absolutely dire.

Some of the teams are slapped together, Dana and Tamina's match was rough as expected, but it's nice to see NXT Talent recognized again and the whole roster used in some fashion... Smackdown's women's depth is still really bad though, they need that Draft, and they need it soon
Kai and Sky though, *chef's kiss*, finally, Vince rejecting this stable is just batshit...

To be honest, not sure they are actually going to the main roster full-time or anything. This might be for filler and as a glorified test. If they underperform, they ship them back to NXT. If they rise to the occasion, maybe they get to keep trying.
