That's the issue. The QB class next year is gonna be awesome. Can you, in that market, pass on a guy with super high-end potential knowing that GM would never hear the end of it? Do you trade Wilson for an insanely lower return? Do you reset the rebuild clock after another 2 down seasons for a rookie QB? If they're terrible, it puts the GM into a real pickle. So what you're saying is that I want the Giants to suck and Daniel Jones be the reason why. At least we wouldn't have to worry about Gettleman's stupid ass drafting another unimpressive qb because he looks like the wish.com version of Eli Manning. Seems like the worst case scenario is for them to be a mediocre team and Jones is okay but still not great. Precisely. The Giants have a worse QB situation and GM than NYJ, so they face the same dilemma. A step forward may mean getting worse. |

There’s two games on now and I’ve decided to watch the Washington commanders vs the panthers because it’s Carson went z vs baker mayfield. I’m interested to see how both QBs look. Wentz may be feeling a bit of pressure after today Really ? I saw one quarter and then saw the final score. That bad was it ? btw the bills beat the colts 27-24 as time expires. the steelers lead 7-0 over the seahawks. |

Chad Kelly made the same tier of talent look bad as the 3rd stringer for the Colts. He still wound up out on his ass when cuts came. |

It’s the reason the Colts stuck with Wentz all season long instead of trying to win with Ehlinger and saving a 1st rd pick. The owner was sour on him before camp was over and even his coach got there before November. Despite that, they were not going to bench him when he was available and mark themselves as a potential trade partner in the future who negotiates in bad faith. |

I’m not even sure why they picked Wentz up. I think that you can win with Heinicke while waiting for another attempt at a franchise QB, but it’s Washington so they probably think that they need a guy with a name no matter what else.
