I just don’t understand why they didn’t just book Bayley by doing this. During the kendo stick match, she surprises EVERYONE by being sadistic and beating Alexa Bluss to a pulp and showing everyone she can get extreme when need be and have her win.

Of course, they didn’t do that. A lot of times, WWE and logic don’t mix.

God, Bayley on the main roster being treated like a literal child is the worst thing....

I think what it came down to was Alexa was the Golden Girl of the women's division at that point surpassing even Charlotte and they just saw her as more valuable then Bayley. So therefore they just weren't going to have Bayley go over on her. However even so there's still no excuse to how they booked. If you want to put Alexa over have her just cheat to beat her or heck just have her beat her clean if you want to really put over. How they did though really buried Bayley and made her look like such a wuss. With a lot of other people that would've been a career killer.

I loved it when she turned heel, it was long over-due imo and her character REALLY needed it imo.

Normally I’m all for noble, positive babyfaces, but Bayley saying she doesn’t want to hurt people is not the best way to get fans hyped for a match with weapons and less restrained violence. Even Ricky Steamboat would sometimes lose his temper and beat some ass.

The last few months where she was a face were good though. It looked like they gave her an edge (for Bayley that is). I remember her slapping Alexa’s coffee out of her hand as well as cashing in her MITB contract on an exhausted Charlotte who wronged her in the past and winning.

The cash-in on Charlotte was probably the best main roster moment for face-Bayley imo.  That was an epic moment IMO and probably the best cash-in moment as far as the women's division is concerned so far.

hell in NXT we her Merch sales were like at worst #3 in the entire ocmpany... not just NXT... WWE as a whole.

I'd say their excellent February 2017 Raw match was peak for main-roster face Bayley, even if the aftermath was confusingly booked. The other thing with Bayley is that she had the heel turn but then it took a few more months for her to really find her character. The initial 'bored' characterisation was a bit lacking, but she made up for it later.

Yeah, babyface Bayley should been huge. Easy character for kids and adults to root for. Them treating her like a literal child made no damn sense and almost ruined her 

The company lucks into Drew being a major babyface but can't hit an easy layup with Bayley
