With Cody Rhodes presumably set to miss significant time, who do you want to see move into the No. 1 babyface role?
My pick: Kevin Owens

Based on reactions last night I'd say it'll be Lashley.

RK-Bro on Raw and Drew on Smackdown.
I don't think this greatly effects long-term booking. I didn't picture Cody winning the title until next year anyway. I think it was always going to be Roman v Riddle at MITB, Roman v Orton at Summerslam and Roman v Drew at CATC. You have the non-title champ v champ match at Survivor Series so that would only leave the October Saudi show and whatever the December PPV is (if they even have one, they didn't last year) as realistic options for Cody to win the title this year and I don't think either of them would have happened. Cody's story of winning his first world title is a Royal Rumble win/Wrestlemania main event level thing like Drew in 2020 or the many other examples. This might even be a blessing in disguise. He's not going to get stale killing time until he wins the title now. He can sit at home, recuperate for the rest of the year and return to a massive ovation at the Rumble.

Is Orton legit injured? He was getting bigger face pops than anyone as part of RKBRO.

I lean Rollins since he can take the hit from not beating Roman a lot easier than others. I think guys like Lashley, Riddle, KO and Drew need the win and I'm not sure they're ready to do that v just yet.

Don't think that Lashley holding a replica belt was no coincidence, he's also someone people can buy beating Reigns.
Think it'll be Drew, I think he wins at Clash At The Castle but somehow it'll be for one of the belts.
I think they'll want one to go back in circulation soon

I'd try to do something with AJ Styles for one more time. That being said, he's irreplaceable.

Imagine Lashley is challenging Roman next before Drew in Cardiff. Unless Riddle is next I guess but no one is buying him beating Roman.
Seth’s lost 3 times to Cody he’s nowhere near title level…but this is WWE so he’ll probably be next in line. Imagine KO & Sami go after The Uso’s eventually.

He can sit at home, recuperate for the rest of the year and return to a massive ovation at the Rumble. I would never call this a blessing in disguise. WWE needed Cody Rhodes badly, and he's been one of the brightest spots in the entire company and he could have elevated other dudes on the roster.
His absence will be felt.
