I'd argue Rollins absolutely was unsafe back in 2015-2016 - the dude injured Cena, Sting, and Finn in the span of a year - but he's improved a ton since then, and I don't think the he can be labeled as such anymore. Especially not with the care he showed Cody (which is is definitely to be commended). He definitely was sloppier, yeah, with stuff like the flying knee that busted Cena up, but he's shown more discipline. I do think it's not a coincidence a lot of this stuff happened when he was getting his big heel push, with Seth probably feeling a lot of pressure to perform at a higher level and figuring his style out. Dude seems much less insecure these days. More discipline in the ring, and more on social media, for that matter.

Seth's the f***ing man and had one rough spell with injuries happening but recovered from it big time. I'm surprised he's never been made THE face of the company. He's a total package -great look (although I wish he'd bring the blonde streak back, it really finished his look off) - great talker, face or especially heel - charismatic, can play just about any role you want to give him and give it his all - great wrestler with an inventive and eyecatching moveset who can structure good matches and fantastic creative spots without even needing gimmick matches (The Mania curb stomp to RKO, and Brock catching his springboard knee into an af5 at that Rumble, were both ridiculous) -by all accounts liked by Vince
I honestly think that as good as he is as a heel they've always been missing the potential he has as the top face whenever they've made him face. Seth is pound for pound one of the best they have and has the vibe that he'd have made it in any era- in the 90s he'd have been HBK, in the 70-80s he'd have been somewhere between Flair and Steamboat.

I don’t even remember, was the Sting buckle bomb a botch or was it just an old ass man’s body decided it was fxxxing done for the time being? Based on a Sting interview afterwards it sounded like the straw that broke the camel's back. Sting was actually classy as hell and put Seth over if I recall correctly. But it seems like part of it was old man's body was done and the buckle bomb is a high impact spot where a lot can go wrong if it's not done just right. Yeah Seth was just the guy in the ring when it happened because sting said the doctor told him that moment would’ve happened at some point. So Seth isn’t unsafe in this regard, he was unlucky. And as another poster pointed out correctly, Seth when he had missteps in the ring, he changed thing up and didn’t use the move that caused the injury, which to me shows intelligence and awareness that something needs to change.

The buckle bomb was a comically stupid move to be doing anyway, it was never really Seth's fault per se

Well his name unfairly got dropped in the the nia jax discussions about her being dangerous in the ring as some way to prove that Nia wasn’t dangerous. Even during that thankfully brief period where he injured a couple guys, Seth isn't even in the same discussion of "reckless idiot" that Nia Jax and Ryback are. Or even that period where Rey Mysterio didn't seem to know how to adapt to his knee brace and kept busting people's faces with it (I wouldn't have even put Seth at _that_ level, I mean).

Yeah, "Seth is dangerous" isn't a widely held opinion but he is the constant gotcha bring-up any time people are discussing someone reckless in the ring. Every time. I remember people trying the same shit with Miz because he didn’t catch Truth once. You know, the guy who’s probably the safest hand they have, the guy they keep trusting to work with the celebrities? People will never let things go. I'm dying to see the thread on this, if there was one.

I believe he went through a patch where he wasn't the safest, but I also think he's drastically improved in the last few years.
I also think he's really found his groove in this current persona, and I hope they stick with it. I could do without the fake laugh, though.

Rollins being unsafe stuck because Hart said it and in the modern era people have sanctified him as the GOAT
