Because Money in the Bank has moved from Allegiant Stadium to the MGM Grand, I wonder if Summerslam will follow suit. Have tickets sold a lot for the show to still be held at Nissan Stadium? The reason I ask is because I know that having a wrestling show in the middle of July at a stadium with no roof is likely for the place to heat up, and I mean literally. I can't imagine people being at a stadium like that in the middle of July with that kind of heat. Everyone will be sweating hard. Then again, the heat might not be so bad.
If it doesn't change locations, what are your thoughts on this being held at an outdoor stadium in the middle of a hot month?
ETA*: Oh, and I forgot to mention. There are two viable locations in Nashville that WWE could move the event to. One is the Allen Arena, and the other is the Bridgestone Arena.

Money in the Bank was never going to fill an NFL stadium. Though I was surprised at the alternative - does AEW have an exclusive deal with the T-Mobile Arena now?

I seriously doubt SummerSlam gets moved but the thought process of having it in Nashville in July has always been questionable to me. Definitely seems like a month you’d want a domed show.

Summerslam ain't moving as long as ticket sales are passable. MITB moved because the UFC PPV was eating into their ticket sales a little bit too much, and MITB not being on the same level as the Big 3 (Survivor Series would also struggle to fill a stadium).

I see a less than zero percent chance it gets moved. According to Wrestletix a month or so ago they had already sold almost 23,000 tickets so it's probably at 25,000+ by now. With Cena all but confirmed for the show now after last nights announcement that will be a big boost.
I doubt it will sell as many tickets as last years Summerslam though which sold 45,000 (WWE’s kayfabe number was 52,000). Reigns/Cena is just about the biggest match you can do in wrestling today that doesn’t involve The Rock returning plus you had the first Edge/Rollins match and a rematch of the Wrestlemania main event in Sasha/Bianca (which obviously didn’t end up happening). Let’s say this years card is something like Reigns/Orton, Cena/Theory and Edge/Balor for the big matches that’s not quite as strong as last year. I think it will end up around 40,000.
I still don’t get them moving MITB. They had sold 18,000 tickets with 2 months to go and no matches announced. They were on course to easily clear 25,000 which would’ve been great for a B show. Now instead they’ve sold out a 12,000 seat arena so you have at least 6,000 disappointed fans who were originally going but can’t now.

The problem is that WWE was very likely going to have to present Allegiant Stadium very differently than they did last year. There are ways to make 25,000 in a 75,000 seater look okay, but it would look awful compared to last year's show. Think the time TNA had to run a corner of the Alamodome for the cheaper building rate.

House shows sell well usually here in Tennessee so I don't see them having to move it for ticket reasons. The only thing is the weather here is crazy. Like it could be all the seasons in a single week here.

Even if I was still someone who went to every WWE show that came to town, I would still question this. Nashville is miserable in the summer. If you wanna run the football stadium, have a stadium show in late September/early October when it's still very warm but not heatstroke warm.

It's not ideal temperature wise during the summer months.

But there's a reason places like Houston, Dallas, and Miami have indoor ballparks nowadays. It's not ideal temperature wise during the summer months. The Texas Rangers for decades got away with having a stadium that had no roof and they drew fans. And it was terrible and they moved away from it recently. Plus it's a home sports team in a major market. If the team is decent, they will always draw to some extent. All I'm saying is I think it's fair to say that a fan who is interested in attending a major show will consider weather when doing so and if they are going to sit out in the heat for 90+ degree weather, they might choose differently. And very few outdoor sporting events with the lack of shade in that climate exist during this time of year for a reason.
