Are we making threads to like... nitpick every single little thing AEW does lately? Because holy shit it really feels like that's been the mood the last few days... Like of all things to give a shit about, how can you muster up anger/annoyance at a throwaway line like this? I just don't get it I guess, it's whatever. You know, I think the worst of this forum is this whole 'man, you care about this?' attitude. We are allowed to have opinions, and unless they stray into the outright bizarre with the glory days of "KEVIN STEEN IS FAT!!!"-posting I just don't how someone caring about something you don't can be so baffling. I'm not one of those people who ends up in a state of amazing agitation when people keep responding to them, I think that's really overhyped as an issue - but what, I mean, is it really so baffling that someone might remark on a textbook bit of aggrandizement? Everyone clowns on WWE whenever they attempt to portray themselves as great philanthropists - I don't see any difference here. There is a pattern on the AEW board at the moment where negative threads or posts like this are popping up more frequently. It’s getting a little tiresome and I don't think in some cases it’s genuine - but maybe I’m overthinking it.

"Daddy's cash" is a weird way of typing, "Tony Khan is, in addition to his father, a billionaire, just not as enormous a billionaire", but I mean, you do you. I do want to say this isn't me saying TK is someone who hasn't benefited from his family, no shit he has, but copy-pasting attitudes about Stephanie and Shane doesn't really fit what Tony is at this point of time. Where has Tony Khan made a billion dollars that wasn't with his dad's cash? Shahid bought the Jags, made Tony co-owner. Bought Fulham, made Tony co-owner. He has also literally described AEW as being a vehicle for Tony to 'blow my money while I'm still alive'. The comment about him being a visionary is whatever, but to say his career (inside and outside of wrestling) is built off daddy's cash is just a fact. Good for him, but how is he different from Stephanie and Shane?

They should make a whole joke video based on that statement.
Have a video that treats AEW like that Cypress Creek video the Simpsons watched and at the end have a giant glowing head of Tony Khan displayed and all the wrestlers holding hands in a circle.

While I would loath another Owner/Authority VS Talent feud, I would make an exception if said talent is Chris Jericho.
The "Visionary" Tony Khan
VS
The "Wizard" Chris Jericho
Now can anyone tell me how that isn't a license to print money?

I'm old enough to say it just makes me think he should start carrying a big banner staff and have a hologram of an animal on his chest.

It's Tony Khan's company.
Tony Khan is Tony Schiavone's boss.
What would you have expected him to say? "That f***ing money mark, Tony Khan... can't believe he pays us so much for this. ha. ha. ha".
As far as billionaire self-fellation goes, that's pretty low tier. There's plenty of reasons to detest the concept of billionaires, but a throwaway line in a fluff piece on a show that Tony owns is not it. I think Tony Khan really DOES live rent free in a lot of people's heads.

I can see WWE calling him "THE VISIONARY, TONY KHAN!" before having him squashed by Omos.
I like Tony and the fact that he's a colossal dork makes him more relatable.

Maybe at-large on social media it’s like that, but here on this site I don’t think there are many “stans”, and certainly not outnumbering criticisms.

Are you talking about this site? Because the WWE board is full of everyone crapping on it and crapping on Vince specifically.
