If they do Rock vs Roman and only have one world title then I think it’s gonna be one of those years the wwe title will be defended IN the rumble. If rock isn’t available Cody should Forsure win it. If there are gonna be two titles, then I think they do Cody vs Seth vs KO or some other major star for the title

It's soulcrushingly boring that we can reasonably predict the Rumble over a half year in advance and Wrestlemania Main Events sometimes multiple years in advance.

He'll probably win it, but there's enough time that it might not potentially go down that way. If he's in the match, it's basically got to be him, though.

Depends if/when he is medically cleared. If he ready by Rumble I am sure they will have him as a "surprise entry" to either win or at least throw out Seth Rollins and tease being the winner being in the Final 4. If he is NOT ready by Rumble, but can get in shape within 2 months, I can see them bringing him back in time for Wrestlemania season and have him face either Rollins again or be the next challenger for Roman on the big stage.

i mean when it comes to the rumble, it's Brock or Roman until it's not Brock or Roman.

Nope.
Roman vs. Rock is your main event at Mania and you're going to like it... unless Rock can't make it then it'll be I dunno... let's say no one... until Rock is finally ready >_>

Does Rock/Roman really need the belt, though?
That’s a match you sell just on names. Let the title be another match.

I doubt Rock will be in the rumble. Due to his limitations bc of ring rust and agents/insurers losing their minds the only way he wins is if he comes in at no 30 and eliminates everyone in a minute with them literally throwing themselves out after each slap that doesn't go anywhere near their face or if he lays in the corner for 20 mins before doing this big 1 minute comeback at the end. Both methods have the potential of him getting booed.
Safer to have Cody win the rumble and Rock turn up to cost Roman the title match against Rollins, Lashley or Brock whoever they want to be Cody's opponent at WM.

Yes. Sometimes the obvious way is still the right way to go. They couldn't have planned the comeback story better.

One can hope tho.

Cody’s chase to the title might be the easiest long term storyline to book. The fact that they own most/all of Dusty’s footage makes it even easier. Whether they do it or not is the question. Wardlow/MJF had a big angle where everyone knew the end result months in advance but it was still the hottest angle the company had. Cody’s chase can be the same way even if it’s predictable.

Yes. Sometimes the obvious way is still the right way to go. They couldn't have planned the comeback story better. Predictable or not, I would love to see Cody win the Rumble, and then go on to win the big one at WrestleMania. He might be the biggest babyface in Western wrestling right now, certainly in WWE. That having been said, all estimates I'm seeing say nine months, which would put his return some time in March, so Rumble's probably out of the question. Thankfully, if all goes well, a triumphant return at WrestleMania is not.

Does Rock/Roman really need the belt, though? That’s a match you sell just on names. Let the title be another match. Nope, it almost can't have it. Splinters need to start to appear in the Bloodline, Usos lose the titles and start losing faith in Roman, Usos align with someone "new", Rock who costs Roman the titles, Usos and Roman can feud in Rock's absence, until the Mania showdown, Rock has to win and ends this character for Roman. Unless they really think Roman is a name of equal value to the Rock, then well, all bets are off.

I'd even suggest maybe bringing Rikishi around and having Roman striking him to be the last straw for the Usos, except knowing Rikishi, he'd ask when he gets to pin Roman.
